3D Printed Tray Inserts

Quick update on the progress of some of these parts:

The designs for the center console divider and cupholders are still in the works, but will hopefully start to come together soon.

The tissue box holder for under the console lid (requested by morphious) is almost complete. Here are prototypes 1, 2, and 3 (from left to right). Don't ask why #3 is in red, felt a little colorful that day :bounce:

Prototype 4 of the tissue box holder will be printed tomorrow. I believe its fitment will be spot-on.... The little clips are hard to get just right.

Wow man, that is so cool!!! Awesome.

Came in to chime in about the cup holders lol, I thought I was the only one...nothing fits, I either have to try and crimp the can of soda or let it rock around. My wrx is the only other bad cupholder I can think of, I've been scouring amazon hoping I could find something to shave down and insert in the cupholder in hopes I can get a tighter grip on 16oz cans.

What would be perfect (for me) is something that fit in the factory rectangular area and had two small circles in them, an insert like the 5th gen maybe.

Thanks for the input! I'll take a look at the 5th gen holders to see if I can come up with something similarly useful.

That looks cool, but what does it do with the tissue box holder? I can't really figure it out from the picture and didn't see any posts explaining what it's for?

I'd love to buy something that makes the tissue box holder useful for me (since I don't put tissues there).

Right now, it's just a replacement part for morphious, but additions can easily be made to hold tools and other things. Maybe hex keys, or a flashlight, or something.

MAKE MORE!! this would be really sweet. My center console is a mess, even after I cleaned it. I keep a scan tool, CB mic, leatherman, knife, flashlight, random stuff all over... compartments would be sweet!

I like the cup holder but they do have their limits. I carry a couple beer koozies around and they work perfect to lock cans and travel coffee mugs in place. Simple but effective solution.

Thats the plan I was gonna follow for now, just looking for the thick foam ones that hold form...most the ones I see online are really thin now.

Hey TiN, can you show a picture of your printout's fitted onto the rig? I wanna see how accurate you got the pieces to fit!

Sorry about the inactivity on this thread lately. My phone was stolen last month and I have been pretty preoccupied studying for finals. But, now that I'm back behind the wheel of an HTC One and this semester's finals are over, I can direct most of my attention to my Runner. First off, I'd like to show JustSomeName some fitment pictures of my most recent prototype.

As you can see, my version fits in place just like the OEM holder does. The only issue at this point is that there is about a 1/32" gap above the top clips that prevent the tissue holder from staying in place as tightly as I want it to. Hopefully, I can just scoot the clips up that far in my design and it will click right into place.

Thanks for all of the ideas you guys are giving me! I'll try to keep this thread more up-to-date in the coming months.

Ladies in gentlemen, I think we just might have a winner! Looks to hold firmly enough to suspend a tissue box, but is also loose enough to remove without breaking anything.

...and wait, there's more:
