3rd Gen 3" smooth air intake tube

As a nice alternative to the ISR mod, i built this custom 3" aluminum intake to try and gain a few mpg's. It fits perfectly and has the necessary fittings so you dont have to cut up your factory air intake. It also includes 2 braided couplers and is finished with high temp engine enamel. Its a drop in piece, you will just need to provide some vacuum hose and clamps if you wish. It cleans up the clutter associated with the boxes and silencers on the factory air intake tube, making it easier to access the tranny dip stick, coilpacks, etc. It required multiple TIG welds that were necessary to get the proper angle, all have been hand ported on the inside. Dont be fooled by thinking you can just buy a 45 or 90 degree bend...it wont work (i learned the hard way). With all the cuts and welds it would cost quite a bit to make yourself. I am selling it for $115 shipped with both couplers or $90 and you provide your own couplers.

A cold air intake is gonna be another $110($225 shipped ebay), but some people just want the factory look with a smooth bend.

Since i actually just bought the K and N intake i can let this go for $85 shipped with the couplers if anyone is interested.

Agreed. For a homemade tube, it seems ok, but sorry, it couldnt have cost more then $20 max to make.

Was the tube cut and welded to make the bend? It looks like the beads don't go all the way around. If so, that took a while to make. Tig Welded?

I see no reason you couldn't just have bent a peice of pipe. As an electrician there is almost nothing you cant do with the right bender and math.
