I found some new in box Bilsteins on CL in Austin.
Front 5100 series - D558
Rear 5125
I think these are the right ones to fit. What's the difference between the 5100 and 5125 in the rear?
He's asking $300 for all 4
Are the rear 5100 universal? Or will only specific part numbers fir the runner?
I'm finding a few sets of rears on CL

I'm thinking of getting around a 3 inch lift on my 02, but my budget is around $600. I'm looking at getting 4 springs and 4 shocks. Any suggestions on the best full lift/suspension for the money?

Bilstein 5100s from DSM: $360 for set of 4
Bilstein 5100 fronts: $210
Toyico LC Rears: $140?
OME rears: $180
LC rears: $80?
Front Eibachs: $163
Front Tundras: $100?
That's just off the top of my head for the more budget stuff, that's all brand new aside from the land cruiser rear springs and tundra front springs. If you find used deals you can make a lift cheap
Different mounts, 5100 are longer, and may require extended bump stops and longer coils. Such as superflex. I prefer 5100 as they mount like a stock shock. Go on toyotec site you will see what I mean by different mount.

So if I went out and ordered all of that I'd achieve a 3 in lift? Or are there other things I need to buy? I'm gonna pass on the diff drop because from what I can see they aren't all that crucial.

Yup! I ran the Tundra 5100s/Eibachs and OME891s and didn't do anything else. You can do more, diff drop, extended/dropped track bar, extended brake lines, etc. but I didn't see that necessary and never needed it and I put that setup through its paces weekly offroad.

can i use procomp 6000 shocks with 883 coils?

Probably. It will ride and work waaaay better with the matched OME shocks though. I would just save a little more money and do it right.

Is anyone running the Fox 2.0 rear shocks from toytec? im looking for a nice ride with 890 rear springs. Or would you recommend OME or Bilstein?

I can't speak from experience but from what I've read the bilsteins are very comfortable if a bit soft in terms of body roll. The ome shocks are said to be a bit stiff. No idea on the Fox shox though.

They should. Be aware that the 2891 is a heavy spring designed for extra weight. If your rear is stock you'll be banging around quite a bit. For stock weight, ome 2890 or "890" as they're called here is recommended.

Hey guys, so I am very close to pulling the trigger on an OME lift for my 2000 4runner.. I have searched and google image'd a billion times so I am pretty sure I am going to go with 881 coils and 90004 shocks in the front, and 906 coils and 60073 shocks in the rear. And I will get some 10mm spacers for the rear if the front is too high. I would reaaaaally appreciate any opinions. This is the last step before throwing money at the shop here and I have been back and forth between 880s and 881's. Wanting to keep a stock ride, but also feeling like the 880's just a tad too short. I have 265/75/16's. Also I've never been able to find any info on the 60073's but the websites all say they are softer than the 60028's, which I feel will be better with the 906's to soften up the ride a bit. My only real concern overall is the 881's being to tall for the 906's, and Im hoping that 10mm spacers would be enough to give it just a hair above level stance when unloaded.

Im a New member and new to lifting and everything suspension. Why would the lift be so much higher in the back? it also still looks level. i would understand maybe that much lift for the front to compensate for the weight of the engine.

Quick question. I just ordered the OME 883 (3inch) lift spring for the front and was wanting to order the bilsteins 5100 adjustable shock.
I just wanted to know the specs on them. What are the compression length and extended length? If you guys seen them on sale some where let me know thanks!!!

Thought I would chime in here because I have not seen much info on the 3" body lift for the 99-02's - especially the transfer case shifter.
I just finished the RB lift in my '99 Limited 4WD.
The first thing is that after doing many body lifts in other pickups including some Tacomas - the 3rd gen 4runner is absolutely the easiest job by far.
I had the whole truck back together in under 3hrs.
The one thing that I had to do after the fact was modify the transfer case shifter - it was too short and could not engage 4hi which of course meant you could also no engage 4lo.
My truck has the 4WD/AWD button on the side of the shifter too ( of course that worked fine).
What I had to do was remove the shifter which meant I needed to remove the auto shifter plate and stick to gain access.
I then removed the top half of the stick in a vice by twisting and pulling with pair of vice grips. I then welded a 3" extension on (a 7/16" bolt with the head cut off) then I just popped the top part back on. I welded it at an angle that had it leaning very slightly forward to avoid hitting the console when pulling the shifter back to 4hi which was the issue after the body lift - probably spent an hour doing that and that was the only real issue.
