3rd gen 4runner MANUAL for sale in PDX CL. Right Price?

I've got a 97 Manual, black, lifted 3inches on 33's. This 4runner is on 31's, no lift. same year though. I thought his asking price was a little steep. What do you guys think? I'm just curious because if I ever sell mine, i'm wondering what I could get with it. Remember this is PNW where 4runners are a little more expensive than other places. LOL :laugh:
No e-locker and that's why I thought he was asking a bit much. What do you guys think?

Well if that is worth $8.3k, then I figure my '97 SR5, V6, 5-speed, E-locker, factory oak leather in great condition with no tears, moonroof equipped 4Runner with 120,000 miles, must be worth 10k...

Just saw the truck as you posted the link!

Price seems high, I just sold a 2000 with 134k for $8000 and it was a cream puff.

But besides even that, guy either doesn't understand what he has, or is trying to pimp it into something it isn't. "These 97 Manuals are usually turned in to mud trucks. This one was Saved." Lolwut? Did he just pull that nonsense stat from thin air? It would also make me weary that he JUST spent $2,000 on brand new wheels and tires and suddenly wants to sell it. Seems odd, eh?

If it has service records and it can be proven the vehicle was well cared for, it might not hurt to talk to him but I wouldn't set my heart on it. Plenty of these vehicles with lower miles in better condition for less money if you are willing to wait and find the right one.

In the PNW, these are common occurrences on craigslist. I just bought my 98 Limited two weeks ago for $5500 with 177k on it. It was the best deal I had seen in 6 months (that didn't sell in 2 seconds).

Pretty ridiculous.

We we're thinking of selling ours for $5000' since we just did a complete OEM rebuild on engine and transmission. I'm now think'in ....$5200 cause ours been in the mud, dang it!

Some of you guys are pretty close to me! Never knew anyone from here was in Vancouver other than The Kid. After this quarter (ends dec 5th) I'm ready for some PNW trips :thumb3:

I got a nice deal I think too. $5650 for my 97 SR5 Manual. I was the first to call he said. I really wanted a manual and only went 2 weeks without a car before she found me :eyebrows: Except I didn't have any problems like you're having. saw your other thread.

The NW is notorious for this with 4runners, Tacos, Tundras, and especially Subarus. There is some joker up here with a 2002 Tundra SR5 with about 90k asking $19k+ IIRC. It's nuts.

and yeah that runner is way over priced. maybe if it was a 99 highlander, or a 99-01 with a Elocker then sure i could see it pulling that kinda coin, but its not, its a pre mid gen upgrade rig and nothing special.
