Did You get them. I was considering it.
I got this one because it's got 500 more lumens per bulb for about $5 extra. Everything else seems the same. I haven't installed it yet though. It's actually a xmas gift to me that I picked out but can't have it till xmas.
Will update this post with pics once I get em.
So I got the new LED's installed compared to my a year old LED ones and I gotta say, these new ones are a bit brighter, my old ones were already pretty bright though.
The best part is that I don't get static interference with my Radio anymore when they're on. I tested it today (while it's rainy/cloudy out) on a couple station my old LEDs affected and it's super clear now yay!
I don't have any pics but I posted pics (go to Page 3) of my old LEDs and they're just a bit better, wider vertically wise too and less blue ish tint
In the future, I might try these since they have more lumens and technically, I can get LEDs that are as much as 60w per bulb since that's the wattage for stock bulbs xD

Do the highbeams and lowbeams reach at least as far as halogens? How about how lowbeams,are they narrower or wider? They may be brighter directly ahead but shortcomings in those conditions are safety issues I refuse to compromise on.
I've done some quite thorough testing on the Philips H4 LEDs ( X-treme Ultinon LED LED car lamp 12953BWX2 | Philips), previous testers tried them on 2nd gen Tacos and Tundras seem to like them but my results were disappointing. Compared to halogens the LEDs had less distance with both beams and less width at the left flank of the lowbeams. This wasn't on a 3rd gen T4R but I did a quick comparison on another test vehicle(00 Tundra) and had similar poor results. I'll try them on my 4Runner next,won't be surprised if the stock halogens perform better.

I tried some of the bulbs that others have liked in this thread, and they were abysmal to put it nicely. The LED's are all "spill" and no "throw" I could tell when the high beams came on, only because of immediate light output, but the "high-beams" didn't throw light any farther then the lows.
I went right back to stock halogens the next day, and then I upgraded to Osram Night Breakers and haven't looked back.

I know there's been a lot of talk about LED H4 bulbs for the 3rd gens with quite a few mixed reviews. I've been talking to Piaa for along time about this and they have been working on H4 solution for a long time. They are now out.

Yea, they are pricy, but anything Piaa does is made in Japan and is very good quality and they wouldn't release these until they got it right, as I was told.
If anyones wants to try these, I'll work a deal to try and help you out. Prob $70 less than you see on Piaa's link above... These should eliminate the need and problems with HID's I hope.

So roughly $230 for both driver and passenger side bulbs?
I could be willing to give these a shot once you figure out a solid price. Unless anyone knows anything wrong with these?

It sounds like these lights would be perfect for the 4R project I'm about to start. I was thinking of doing HID's but I've had bad experiences with them in the past (unreliable).
the price point is perfect for my project. Has anyone else used these bulbs? If so, how do they like them ? They get great reviews on Amazon.

From reading reviews, it looks like they don't have the fix in place to correct the high beam dash indicator.
Shame I'd have expected PIAA to be better than that!

Yeah, I don't have the high-beam dash light come on anymore since going with the projectors. To be honest, you know when they are on, other road users will also tell you

Yes, for a pair. This is PIAA, Japan made. I bugged them for MONTHS and they wouldn't release them until they had them perfected they kept saying, the opposite of most china manufacturers that flood the market and make the customers become their beta testers. I'd do for less than that to help you out. 717-319-2100 call or text.

I would love to have brighter lights in my 96 as they totally suck. But just putting these or the HID kits in are illegal in Wa. I don't want to deal with it. I will just use some aftermarket lights relayed in to my high beams and hope I don't have to run low beams long in "DEER ALLEY".

And yea, this is the future. What I mean is, not having to deal with HID's when they get old and start acting up. It can be pricey.
