3rd gen nalgene holder.

Txbonds- not a bad idea. I'm looking for something a little more slick though. I don't want to ruin the look of my nice leather interior :).

That would look nice if I could get a stainless steel tube that's the right diameter.

I was thinking something along these lines. Unfortunately I don't think anyone makes one large enough for a nalg. They are all for cans or beer bottles so I'll have to make one.

That's not a bad starting point. It would be easy to modify if I wanted to add a fixed look instead of the Velcro bands.

1) Ditch the Nalgege for a Clean Kanteen

2) Install custom cup holder like this; on Page 20 ---> http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-g...-build-maintenance-thread-20.html#post1361238

Custom Cup Holder Mod ... Installed

A few weeks ago I bought this cool collapsible cup holder from Ultimate Cupholders.

Link ---> Fischer Cup Holder $14.99 - Ultimate Cupholders - Cup holders for 5 Series and 7 Series BMW, Z4, Porsche Boxster / Porsche 911 996, Mercedes, Audi, Acura NSX and other fine cars. The ultimate cup holder / cupholder!

I need it because I plan to mount a tablet over the spot where my current stock cup holder is located.

I hadn't realized that GSI made a stainless bot that fit over a nalgene. Which I really should know considering how much time I spend in REI.

That will def be the base of my nalgene mount. I think it will look slick to just mount the stainless cup somewhere and that should hold a nalgene just fine without a chalk back or strap or anything like that. Might make some wood trim to make it match my dash and call it good.

I'll post pictures when I have time to scrounge it up and finish my mount. Trust me, you'll want one when I'm done.

And I'm def going to put a mount on the rack (when I build one) that holds a bottle. It would be sick if you could reach it right out the driver window, or possible out the sunroof.
