OK, I finally got the confidence to post a couple of pictures here. I'm building the 4Runner into a dirt-bike hauler and a camper. Basically the goal was to have a car where I can to pack everything needed (including the bike) in 15 minutes or less, then be ready to head out into the desert for one or two nights before coming home Sunday ready to convert the car back to a commuter again.
I'm getting pretty close. I'll get some pictures of the interior later on. I'm trying to be smart about the space and sometimes feel like an IKEA interior designer using every square inch of the car to fit all sorts of camping and riding gear.
Posing in the Sequoias.
This is what she looks like with the dirt bike on. I need to address that sagging...
Camp deployed.
With the seats removed and the gear on the roof rack there's plenty of space to sleep back in the 4Runner. Sleeping comfort level is wife approved, but could probably use another layer of madrases if we want to sleep like kings.
And just for fun; I love this pic. Me and JEEP friend wingmanning a second friend's Porsche. "It's OK little one, we got your back"

Nice 'runner Hoffe! You need some airlift airbags for those rear springs. Dad and I installed some on his Jeep GC, and now he can tow a 4000lb trailer with hardly any sag.
