dont bother regearing. i once had 33s with 4.10s and it was fine. whole lot faster then my runner is today
The way I justified it to myself was, I know I'm going to upgrade someday to a bigger tire.Yup. But you'll love 5.29 on the trail. Low gearing makes the five speed a magical thing when you're crawling.
id love to see a video of your crawling speed once you get it installed. 5.29's are a 30% difference from 4.10's so it should make a huge difference offroad. Although your 5th gear will be lower than your current 4th gear. Highway cruising may be pretty interesting. At least you'll never need to downshift. The way I justified it to myself was, I know I'm going to upgrade someday to a bigger tire.
I keep looking at Dirctos build and feeling like I HAVE to at least go to 255s. Maybe 35"s if I feel I'm not going to lose too much crawling prowess.
And now I pretty much am going to have a 4 speed with a granny gear [emoji48]
My gas is free, so I only have to worry about blowing it up.
Well after I heat cycle it a few times I'm driving from East Texas to Round Rock. I'll post some crawl videos and my take on highway manners this weekend after I get back.id love to see a video of your crawling speed once you get it installed. 5.29's are a 30% difference from 4.10's so it should make a huge difference offroad.
