'94 4Runner 3.0 3VZE Auto, 225k - Engine was running fine other than the code 52 (knock sensor) timing retarded so poor power/mpg
I've been taking it slow but finally reached the knock sensor today. When I pulled it, there is oil pooled in the back half and coolant pooled in the front; see pic.
Would that have come from the intake manifold? It didn't feel like it much of anything poured out when I pulled it off. It is VERY evident the previous owner has been under here: new gaskets and timing belt and pretty poor work (not that I'm a master mechanic).
My injectors are out for testing/rebuilding; otherwise I have everything I need to start putting it back together. Just that much oil & water there spooked me...
Do I have a serious problem here?? Should I just clean it up and reassemble??? HELP?!?
