Restored like that I see go for $300. Best bet is to find someone parting out a locked 4R. I looked & waited for over 2 years to get mine.
Yeah and it helps to combine it with a road trip across half the continent...
I used car-part.com to find a list of them and I could only check out a few, too many to choose from!!! But beware, when they say it is 4.1 it is probably actually 4.3. OP, before you drive all that way, make sure he has done the spin test to be sure it is 4.1. The codes are usually wrong. Ask him if it is from an automatic, if it is you can be pretty certain it is actually 4.3. If so you will need to get the front 4.3 to match and swap that out. You could bargain to get that for free if he misled you with the 4.1 info and you travelled all that way.
Also, did you check to see if it has ABS or not? Does that matter to you?
