4.7L TRD supercharger nose drive change

I have swapped out the TRD ECU for the Unichip about 15months now.
I got the motivation after reading on Tundra forum, lots of the guys use unichip with their TRD supercharger.
I had an old unichip laying around not in use and I contacted unichip, they were able to reprogram it for my car and provide the additional turbo module (which is to sense the boost) and connection for the additional 9th and 10th fuel injectors. Cost me $185 for all that. However, to buy a brand new unichip now will probably cost >$800.
Then, I had a local company who does unichip tuning to properly tune it. Cost $350. He told me that the TRD ECU was flooding too much gas and killing the power. I guess TRD did that for safety reason. He also told me the program came with unichip, the timing was too aggressive and causing some detonation. So that was adjusted.
I don't think I can actually feel whether there is additional hp gain. Probably in the range of 20hp which is probably hard to really feel it. However, what I can immediately tell is the throttle response is much improved and the power band is smoother.
Before with TRD ECU, I felt that the car takes a bit to really pick up and then the power kicks in really raw and rough. Now, it seems more instantaneous and the power is smooth up the power band.
