40 miles on odometer

As I pulled into the stealership, I saw a lady pull out of the lot for a test drive and returned her with 7 miles on the odometer. If I had gotten there just a bit sooner, she would've only had about 3-4 miles on the odo. I had a fleet manager from another dealership call into that particular one to hold that 4R for me, but I guess nothing is finalized until the papers are signed. I would've like to purchase my 4R from that guy too, but they didn't have the right one. Too bad, he was a really nice guy.

Here are some mileage info for my family members' & friends' cars:

'98 Altima: 118 miles (delivered from San Diego to L.A.)
'93 Quest: 21 miles
'06 Civic: 7 miles
'06 TL: 3 miles
'07 330i: 1 mile (towed on flatbed straight from port to dealership)

Some cars will definitely have alot more miles on the odo as the sales/staff take these new cars out for lunch runs. Some dealerships will pay people to drive new cars from one location to another instead of towing it.

Mine had 1 mile on it when I got it. It was fresh off the truck, and hadn't even been prepped for the lot yet (still had all the plastic coverings, etc).
