4LO Indicator on. Not in 4WD!!

I had this happen back when I was around 20k on the clock and had the dealer look at it. They claimed to have ohm checked each wire after finding nothing and resetting the ECU's. I'm at about 110k now and never had it happen since. I'm a firm believer in that there was a loose connection somewhere that was reseated when the dealer was troubleshooting my issue.

The problem was the part called switch assembly neutral. It's a good thing I had the extended warranty because the repair was over $500. The part itself which is a small part cost $281.00. I didn't have to pay anything. Everything is fine now, thanks for all of the advice and suggestions.

Hi guys. New to this forum. I have a red 07 4runner and manufactur date 11/06.
My 4Lo light came in this morning going about 75mph, no beeps or anything. I pulled off to side of road and switched to 4hi and cycled through and it went off. Drove another 9 to 10miles and came back on. Repeated pulled off, engaged 4x4 etc.. went off. Just had the transfer case seal outter and small inner replaced. New fluid also. Drove ro Ensenada mexico and back from las vegas, nv.. it never came on.
Washed my truck engine and truck yesterday at car wash and then came home, but thats a 1mile drive from carwash.
Anyone else wash their engine or replace seals prior to theirs having this issue??
