4Runner '99 HIDS

glad I could help!! That's what we are here for.

Not completely sure why this happens like this but i do know it is specific to H4 HID kits. I have seen it happen on Mazda's as well with H4's.

I'm so satisfied with the outcome of having these HID's installed! I can see much better at night. After I closed my hood, thunderstorms just raged all over the city and the rain was pouring hard so I thought it was the perfect timing for me to go to a place where it's completely dark with no street lights and drive through the area. The lights??? Amazing. That is all I can say. Mad props to everyone that helped me pick out the right HID's and helped me get it installed correctly! :)

Now I want to get some tinted taillights. Any suggestions broncosi??? I noticed you had some mad tint going on with your '98 and it looks pretty badass.

Have them professionally done. or save money and VHT nightshades to the darkness you like, followed by a clear coat.

I think I'll back off that until I get a paintjob on my 4runner later on in the summer ;D. Now I'm focused on getting the leds.

Nice work Broncosi! I just assumed Select had already tried every possible wiring option. Guess that's what I get for assuming...:bash:

Select, glad to hear you got them working...would have hated to know you returned working ballasts.

Totally, I did not even think of flipping it man.. like I just thought they could only fit on 1 side man. But I'm glad too man. I was about to ship out my ballasts tomorrow since USPS were closed at 5 (i think) until I saw Broncosi's post.

Oh and uh, 2k views later, my HIDS project is now completed. Now onto diff. mods for the truck! :)

Yeah, for every ballasts I've had to return, I first try wiring it every different which a way and if that didn't work, it got sent back. :D

Check ebay for the LED tails. I'm running the oem version and simply love 'em.

seLect check out the LED tail lights. They are pretty nice, but they aren't tinted.

Alright word, thanks bra. Where did you get yours from?

I feel you, I really dislike ebay but I'll give it a chance again.. it's been a while since I got something off ebay which was 6 years ago :D

I got mine on Ebay. Lol. That's where I get about 75% of the stuff I buy online.

They are kinda expensive. I think they were about $165ish.

well naturally no one tries my suggestion unless someone tell them to. When have you ever hooked up a negative to positive and positive to negative to make something work? NEVER!! It goes against everything we're taught. but like i said i figured if my ballasts were faulty, it wouldn't hurt to try before paying for return shipping to the other side of the world.

That's a picture of it, the asking price is $168.00 free shipping. It's also made by SaberSpots.

Haha woot woot!!
Sabersport does good stuff I belive they are partnered or part of eagle eyes. I have had some eagle eye headlights before and they were great. For some reason I remember seeing those led tails in a smoked set somewhere. I'll look into that tomorrow(I'm posting from my iPhone in bed)

Hahha for sure. What iPhone are you carrying? iPhone 3G? If so, what model? I got the iPhone 3G white 16gb model

-I saw some OEM lights, they look very similar with the stock ones, am I looking at the wrong or something??
