A suggestion if I may about hanging your tarp, run a main line between two trees then drape your tarp over top of it, then tie down your corners. I find it easier to hang this way and I also do not tear the corner grommets out as they will not be bearing any weight. ....

Good idea, for minimalists and those who know their knots. (Many don't even guy-out because they have free-standing (as long as there is no wind) awnings.
For example, if an eyelet fails or is weak tie a sheet bend into that corner and guy-out as usual.
