4runner color question

About to order my wife a 2016 Trail and was set on white, but the more i see pictures of the mag gray, I really like it. I liked the idea of white because it hides a alot like pollen, water spots, and swirl marks, etc.... I was just curious for the guys who have the mag gray, does it show alot?? My wife currently has a 4th gen in shadow mica and while it looks great clean, it does show every little flaw... I guess the second part of my question is if I plan on keeping this vehicle 10+ years (hopefully), is one color gonna hold up better and hide imperfections better than the other?

My last vehicle was white. My 4Runner is mag gray. The only thing the gray hides is bug guts.

I narrowed my focus to two colors, silver first, gray second. The best deal on my 2015 TP was a gray one.

No where near as bad as black...I had a back Expedotion that needed washing every week, was like washing a school bus, never again.

The gray shows dirt, not that bad, but compared to my old silver F150, it will require more attention.

Looks fantastic when clean. If I had to do it all over again, I would go with silver. But since this will my truck for the next 10 to 15 years, I will live with it.

We have a Mag Gray SR5 and we live on a dirt road. It does show the dust and scratches but I'm not sure other colors would be much better. My second choice would have been silver.

MGM shows everything, Silver would probably be the best. Dust and pollen aren't horrible on white, chips won't show up so bad, but bug and that grayish road grime shows bad on white.

They all look good. Buy one. You're going to upgrade it and get suckered into a trail that "looks" fine. In the end you'll pinstripe the hell out of it and call it a day.

If you're picky about scratches I would do white. I had white, it hides scratches much better for sure. In the end, we ended up with our current truck in Mag Grey. Never been happier. It is a beautiful color, especially when clean.

any dark color will show dirt and what not easier than a light color.

the best to worst colors for a 2016 4unner for hiding dirt, etc :

silver, white (2 colors of white), quicksand, grey, red, blue, black.

2015 is black, love it but miss the mag gray

Black shows everything and is impossible to keep clean. The mag grey doesn't show nearly as much and still looks nice in a darker color. From a distance it always looks clean... black, not so much.

agree except for pollen they both get nasty..... my f150 was silver and it always looked clean

I had a silver Matrix. Silver did always look clean.... buuuut, I think it looks a little cheap on our 4Runners. IMO. Probably just because a had the cheap matrix, my mind just thinks it looks cheap. I dunno.

1. White is the highest "hiding" of scratches and dings. Also dust.
2. White is the "safest" meaning white cars are in the least amount of accidents, percentage wise. Because
3. White is the most visible color, unless in a blizzard lol.

I have had a black, silver and white 5th Gen 4Runner. White is the easiest color to take care of by far. With that said, white vehicles are, in my opinion, the most boring vehicles out there.

I really appreciate all the feedback. Im sure I would love either color, so its probably just gonna come down to whichever one I can get sooner.. Can the trail be special ordered in the pearl white (the white that comes on the limited, Im not sure what the color name is)????

I purchased black, because I'm manly.

It's a 4Runner, it's meant to get dirty.

Maybe you should stick with a Highlander model. (in white, of course)
