When I throw it in reverse, it seems to immediately let go. Would a sticky caliper do that?Check your brake calipers, sounds like one is sticking..

It could. Take your calipers off, remove your master cylinder cap and take a large C-clamp and slowly compress the pistons in and see if they move in smoothly..If you feel any kind of drag they are probably sticking. Re-install before stepping on the brakes and be sure to put the cap back on your master cylinder...Move to the back and check the condition of your brake shoes and drums..Any kind of moisture back there, track it down, fix it and then clean up the shoes and drums or replace them..
