Is there a way to remove the 4runner on the back lift gate of the 5th gens? Or is it the, you have to remove it with goo gone, and tack it back on there. I am planning on plasti dipping all the lettering.
I don't have any experience with this on a 4Runner, but when I plastidipped the rear emblem on my old Audi the only way to do it and have it look clean was to buy a new emblem and dip it before installing, since it come with the adhesive pre-applied on a wax paper backing. Otherwise it's a pain to reapply whatever type of adhesive you use and have it look good, as well as still be attached a year later.
You are absolutely correct. I looked it over, and it surrounds the earlier 5th gens, I happen to have a 2015 TEP. I looked around before posting this. I didn't sift through individual build threads, but I did look at and through the stickies.
There are variances between the 3rd gens, as there are between some of the 5th(i.e. the 2012 is not the same as the 2014). I have both, and I can tell you while there is a lot of information in here, it pales in comparison to that of the 3rd gen section. Where I can find what I need by variant of years. I simply asked to see if anyone else ponied up and started pulling their brand new truck apart.
all 10 - 15 are the same and you don't need to remove the lettering. spray, overspray and peel what you don't want dipped. If my dumbass can do it so can you
