Very interesting, as in the 2005+ it lists both types. Could it be that they received too many complaints regarding dry/seizing propeller shafts? I know there is a difference between the v6 and v8, but it would make sense to keep the lubes consistent.

Went ALL OVER looking for NLG1#2 Moly, and all I could find was one by Valvoline at Napa Canada. No other major automotive parts source has any alternatives. It was a pain cleaning the gun, ensuring all the former Lucas grease was out.

I figured grease shopping would've been easy as pie. I mean, Canadian Tire has fifty brands of ****ing car wax, but go to their grease, and they had about eight, half of it for snowmobiles.

Yep, it is NLGI2, and I've just greased her up. Immediately solved the ongoing 'clunk' noise. It was just as viscous as the Lucas, but dark grey not purple. One place I have not checked is Walmart, so maybe give that a shot.
