Carson Mansion, Eureka Ca. Local landmark, internationally known. Also a kickass haunted house methinks.

4R near Mono Lake, on a desert 4x4 trail. I'd say doing a 15 mile long deep sand trail with A/T tires is reasonably adventurous.
