4Runner photo game

reset

Well this thread ****ing died

4. Wildcard/reset option: After 72 hours, if the challenge is not met any player can take a pic of their 4Runner with a local landmark and post it. The first to do so will issue a new challenge at the same time they post the landmark photo
Anyone can restart the game..

Here's a rough shot of the old girl in the MOA parking ramp! ha..
New challenge, a shot of your ride buried/stuck. I love snow but it can be mud, sand, water or whatever playground you prefer. up to the hubs at a minimum..

Only had the rig since July, so no pics of me stuck. Honestly, I have not been stuck since the 80's (knock wood), maybe I need to be more reckless. :lookout:

Also for the record, I needed a google search to figure out that
MOA = Mall Of America

It wouldn't matter if you had pics, since pictures in this thread have to be "new" / taken in response to the challenge.

That's a problem for challenges like the current one. I mean, who gets up in the morning and says "I'm going to go get stuck so as to get a picture for the photo tag game"?

I'm kind of surprised no one got the grill challenge, seemed pretty easy to me. I don't actually own a grill so not easy personally, but I assume everyone else on earth has a grill...

attention to detail..

thought that might be an issue with these vehicles so that's why I said BURIED or stuck. your choice.
and in my opinion I would say after the reset option has been implemented you can use an old picture to keep the game moving. I don't think anyone is going to dig deep enough to see the timestamp on the image.

The problem with allowing old pics is that sometimes the challenges repeat. So, for example, if the "stuck and buried" challenge comes back around it would be too easy for the one player that actually got stuck in the past to keep posting the same pic. Also, really how much of a challenge is it to search your photos and post an old pic?

The purpose of the game is for the players to actually do the challenge and be the first to post a new pics of their 4Runner meeting said challenge.

I too would really like to see this game keep rolling but it's gonna need more players or for the few of us to get busy.

Also, for clarification, if buried isn't necessarily stuck and I get a new photo of my 4R going through water over the hubs, is that considered "buried" even though not stuck?

I've been lurking, waiting for a challenge I can participate in. I used to play this with my motorcycle.
What?!? You lurked and you don't have a grill??? :D Now all you have to do is go out soon and get really stuck or at least hub-deep in something and take a pic. We all would welcome that and love a non-landmark pic. Welcome to the game!

Unfortunately I do not own a grill either. I don't forsee my 4R getting stuck anywhere because I tend to avoid mud (prefer rocks). I'll see what I can do with local landmark next time it comes around.

Yeah, I play the shit out of this with my bikes over on ADV and Stromtrooper.com. Much more active game on those forums.

OK, if an old pic is excitable, I think this one of my old truck may work!

Lets give it a bit of time before we go changing the rules, eh, brah?

[sarcasm]Well I good goddamn can't believe no one got the current challenge.[/sarcasm]

Since time has lapsed, here is the backup challenge, a local landmark. This guy is the sentinel for Ferndale, Calif, on Rt 211. You know you're home when you see him chucking hay.

Next challenge, similar to this one actually, your 4Runner with something larger than life. It can be an oversize cowboy boot like at the western store, a bigger than the real thing statue, or a overlook that's "bigger than life". Lots of options, use your imagination.

Fast refresher on the rules - new pictures only, and use a 4Runner

Well, I kinda did with the old picture thing. I’m really not planning on sticking the 18 with only 2,500 miles on it for a little while.

This one is also a local attraction in Minneapolis.

Next up: A photo of your 4runner having fun in the snow. You might need a helper for this one...
