LOL... around here, especially when traveling solo, if you get stuck - you are in for a long walk, no cell service, and possibly no repeater access on 2M unless you happen to get stuck on top of a mountain! I'll pass!

Well it's been TWO MONTHS so the challenge reverts back to a local landmark.

Now might also be a good time to ask new posters to read the rules on p.1 (new pics only, etc), and to remind everyone that the idea is to keep the game moving, not stall it with crazy challenges. Somewhere between the challenges of "your 4Runner with some grass in the picture" and "your 4Runner getting an oil change in the Hooters parking lot while you get blown by two Hooters girls and one of them has to be a redhead" lies a regular challenge. If only 6 guys in the world can do it, maybe think of something more normal. Otherwise the game is :rip: and that would suck.

This made me almost fall out of my chair laughing at work.
I'm also in favor of keeping the game going, and hey, if someone can meet that Hooters challenge, they're a ****ing legend and they win the game forever.
Since I have a 4Runner again, I'll hopefully be able to play more!

I see that we are trying to resuscitate the game. Now that I know some are still looking at it I will try to be a regular contributor. Therefore, answering Meefzah's expired challenge, here is my 4Runner at two museums. One is the Little River Railroad museum in Townsend, TN. I pays homage to the trains that hauled all of the lumber out of the Great Smoky Mountains. The other museum is the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center and Historical Museum. It tells the story of the native Americans and later the European-descendant settlers whom were all ran off first to create towns, farms and cut down trees and later to make the national park.
I tried to apply the "MeefZah Scale of Challenge Difficulty" on this next challenge. A bit harder than "on grass" but certainly not near the difficulty of "Hooters".
Next challenge: Your 4Runner either on or next to an INTERESTING bridge. Please explain why it is interesting unless it is architecturally evident.

Again with the discriminatory requirements toward desert dwellers. We don't need bridges. On the rare occasion it is raining you just need to wait until it stops raining and the river goes down.

People live in the desert?!? :biggrin1: Don't worry. It would be difficult for me to go get a pic of my 4R on a sand dune, or really any sand for that matter.

Looks like you had a great trip. I saw plenty of my stomping grounds in the TN/NC shots. It looks like the "gravel Cherohala" was part of the Trans American Trail, or at least as much as any dirt road in the mountains probably does.

Next up: your 4Runner with a road sign showing distance to another city or place that is in excess of 100 miles away. For example, on the interstate you see signs indicating other cities along the same route with mileage designation: 'Columbus - 120', etc...

That's a great bridge! I am in Milwaukee and was not able to rent a 4Runner but if this is still standing Friday... Hopefully it isn't, as it is a very reasonable challenge. Hopefully some of the other guys come back to the game.

Since this one was still up I decided to knock it out. Thought it would be easy as I left the airport. I knew there were signs for Atlanta close by. However, none of them had the miles to location on them. Surely, some should be up ahead so I will drive a little farther. I came across several that said Atlanta but no miles. There is a Trail in the first shot I just noticed. Then I finally came across a Chattanooga sign... but it was only 80 miles and [MENTION=132734]MeefZah[/MENTION] specifically said greater than 100 miles. Something will come along, right? NOT. Ok, I decided to go hit the interstate because I know there are signs that meet the challenge there. After about an 80 mile round trip, here's your @%$& sign, MeefZah!
