Someone issues a challenge. Once a challenge has been issued then you have to post a photo showing the challenge has been completed. Photo must be taken after the challenge has been issued. No old photos.

Current challenge: Your 4R reflected in the back of a shiny tanker truck. issued by [MENTION=200736]ElectroBoy[/MENTION].

When you complete a challenge you get to issue a new challenge. If it has been more than 72 hours since a challenge has been issued then at this point you can reset the game and issue a new challenge by posting a photo of your 4runner in front of a landmark (this must also be a new photo taken after the 72 hours).

The whole point is to have fun. The more people that play the better. When issuing a challenge try to make it not so difficult that no one can complete it but not so easy that it isn't fun to do (like a picture of your 4runner at walmart). That is my interpretation of the rules. If I wasn't clear on any of them or if I was wrong please comment.

Here is the rules layed out by the OP:

We're playing this in the classics forum, but we can't have all you late-models corrupting our purity, so I'm opening this thread so everybody can play!

Here's the rules - read these carefully, please, because this is going to get chaotic in short order. A challenge is set (in this case, by me), and the first person to meet the challenge with photographic proof gets to set the next challenge. Here's the kicker - you don't get to use photos from before the challenge was set. If I say "photo of your truck in front of a mountain", that photo you've already got doesn't count. You have to go find a mountain and take another picture. Got it? If you're confused, ask questions before you post photos or this thing will go off the rails rapidly. I reserve the right to hit the reset button at any time if it gets too confusing regarding whose turn it is, or a challenge is too hard (your truck next to the eiffel tower, etc).

We'll start it easy. First challenge - a picture of your truck in front of a landmark (to be defined as any building/sculpture/piece of scenery/etc that has a distinct Wikipedia entry). Go!

1. Challenge is issued. Look at last few posts to see what current challenge is.

2. Players have 72 hours from time challenge was issued to take and post a pic of their 4Runner meeting the challenge. THIS HAS TO BE A PIC TAKEN AFTER THE CHALLENGE WAS ISSUED... NO OLD PICTURES!!

3. The first player to post their challenge-meeting picture will, at the same time, issue the next new challenge. If it is a few hours or days late and no one has reset the game, we don't care. Post it and put up the new challenge.

4. Wildcard/reset option: After 72 hours, if the challenge is not met any player can take a pic of their 4Runner with a local landmark and post it. The first to do so will issue a new challenge at the same time they post the landmark photo

Sadly we don't really have "fall colors" here, ever. One of the things I miss about Ohio. I did slide around on about 60 miles of nicely moist mountain dirt roads today and this shot has as much fall color as we get, with the reflection of some of it in the side windows.

Next up, your 4Runner with something that is covered in, or at least has a large amount of, moss.

We do have fall here but it is still summer like and everything is still green. I did have a tree start turning colors the past couple of days and I was going to get the reflection shot this morning. Good thing I checked in. :thumb:

Speaking of checking in, I've been getting Bruced on several of the recent photos. I was all set to leave to drive out to Cape Mendocino to get the unusual rock formation and I checked in only to find that it already had been gotten. Then I was ready to drive out to the highway to stalk a couple of tankers leaving the milk factory, only to find that I'd been Bruced on that one as well. Good to see some more activity on this thread!

More fall than we have. Every thing is still completely green.

Yeah, I did feel a little guilty about throwing out the fall colors challenge, figuring it was too early for most people. Higher up here, the fall colors are just about done. Then again, we don't get much moss here. A couple of pictures from two weeks ago:

Being from Vegas, we definitely don’t have any fall colors yet but I just so happened to be up in the mountains in Utah but out of cell phone range during this challenge otherwise would’ve posted up.
