And I literally drove past a dozen silos today to get a pic of at least an almost solitary tree.[emoji28] Will have to try for the silo tomorrow. But here’s my tree as an also ran. It is solitary in both stature and slight separation from the surrounding trees.

Haha! For some history go back and read from post 4463.
There’s a couple of long time players who are staying in the game although they have gone temporarily insane and stopped driving 4Runners. We’re all praying they get back in their preferred ride soon. In the mean time they’re keeping the game going with their enthusiasm.

This game is the kidneys and me and other Mark are the hobos.

I was actually gonna go get the silo pic yesterday in my patrol car but I waited too long in the day. Halfway through the shift the Explorer I was in got swapped out for my ol' reliable 2011 Vic which had just come back from maintenance. I decided the challenge would be legit in the Explorer because it's kind of an SUV, but the Vic was just inappropriate.

You sir are indeed correct that I have never posted a photo and thus posted a challenge in this topic....but I was following this topic and I have tried to get involved in this 3 or so years ago numerous times but when getting home from working a 10 day and then taking my 4Runner out to grab a photo someone had already posted a photo and thus completing that challenge and posting another, then this topic apparently got moved from the forum section it was in and I lost track of it until I just recent saw it again here in this forum section.

It's hard for me to get a photo during my work day and not driving my 4Runner and my work van just wouldn't cut it I fear.

Either way I do enjoy this topic even if it pissed you off that I posted a comment wondering why the photo had a Jeep in it, I wasn't aware it was only opened for Marks to post a comment, my bad, and it's now opened to most any SUV it seems, either way never fear I won't be posting in "your" topic again. :thumb:

Welcome to the game. In case you haven't gone back to read the rules, there is usually a standing challenge. The challenge is your 4Runner/4Runner-like vehicle pictured within the context of the challenge. If you are the first to meet the challenge, you issue a new challenge with your 4Runner photo meeting the challenge. The current challenge 'Your 4Runner with a silo in the picture.'

I went and looked at some used 5th gens today... I'm really having a hard time not selling the Taco and getting another 4Runner and I don't need you encouraging me with your purchases!

No one got pissed off and the game is not only open to Marks to post. It's just lately and coincidentally the primary players are all named Mark. They already explained the Jeep as I am trying to help keep the game going and I no longer have my 4Runner. One of the other Marks (MeefZah) has a Tacoma that will show up in some pictures because of similar circumstances to you... not always able to be in his 4Runner.

Anyway, sorry you have or had a crappy work schedule but the current pace of the game allows a painfully plentiful amount of time to go get a pic so that should not be a problem. I think our current silo challenge is approaching a week.:ybrick:

The game needs more players to keep it moving. Lots of people look in, say they would like to play, and then never do. That gets old too. You are welcome to play if you want. Or not... it's up to you.

You know you should get one because it is exactly the right vehicle. I questioned the Jeep within a month of buying it. Then I sold my 4Runner so I wouldn't second guess my decision. That didn't work.

Honestly, I would like another low-mileage pristine 2010-13 Trail. But anything nice and below 70000 miles, people are asking $25K plus. I can get a new one for around $40K. So here I am with one on order, still about 4 weeks or so out. I wish I had just kept my old one though and not messed with the Jeep.

Yeah they hold value like nobody's business. There's a 0% financing option on (edit) 2019 or $1500 cash back on 2019 in this region, damn near a better deal to buy new.
