For two days I have been keeping my eyes peeled for a classic Beetle. While out and about, I have seen six old VW vans and a couple of Karman Ghias. Also, there is a field that I drove by twice that has dozens of old Beetles, Karmans, VW station wagons and some vans. But I cannot find a way to park close enough without fear of being shot at. The best I could do would be a drive-by shot.

Here it is fellas, had to scope it from my wife's highlander today it's right up against this guy's house on a private driveway so I had to be quick haha I'll wait for an approval from you all before I post the next challenge

Those bugs are getting more rare, hard to sneak up and get close to them. Good job!

Very well, next challenge, not particularly hard but just to stretch your legs... Your vehicle on a bridge but the pic taken from either a higher elevation or lower (i.e. if over a river possibly from the river bank) .. Drones would be cheating in my opinion but that's me.

Not a very spectacular shot, but I didn't have to leave the neighborhood to get it.
I'm not sure if a big culvert really qualifies as a bridge, and since I don't want to ruin it for someone who may be putting in an effort to get a nice bridge shot, I'll leave the challenge the same.

Hey, is that one of those reworked culverts that make it more friendly for fish to move through? It looks like a nice stream running through it and I know where there are fish like trout and such, they are trying to move away from the round culverts.

This culvert goes over a creek running through the neighborhood. It was reworked several years ago.

I'm actually thinking about a Wrangler like yours since the 4Runner's size has given me some difficulty on the 4x4 roads around here. Looked at them last weekend; I'm not yet over the sticker shock.:faint: Please talk me out of it.
Finding one to take a picture next to should be easy out here...probably don't even need to leave the neighborhood.

I'm actually thinking about a Wrangler like yours since the 4Runner's size has given me some difficulty on the 4x4 roads around here. Looked at them last weekend; I'm not yet over the sticker shock.:faint: Please talk me out of it.

Rent one for a week. If you love it, you will know. If you don't you will save yourself lots of money. I have always loved Jeeps. I know Jeeps. I've had a 91 Grand Wagoneer, 3 XJs, 2 TJs, a JKUR before this one. I put tons of miles on all of them. I was convinced when I got my 8th Jeep in my dream configuration, I would be happy. But I started comparing everything to the 4Runner... ride, comfort, highway manners, known reliability, cargo space, tow capacity, etc. etc. and despite the JLUR's great appearance, engine, fantastic 8sp auto, off-road performance, lighting, infotainment system, I am not blown away. Plus I worry about the 700 different failure modes that are commonly reported on the forums. Mine has been perfect, but still I worry. Spend some time on the JLWrangler forum and look at all the stuff going on with the JL. You may get lucky like I have been so far, but you will never feel confident.

In all of my Jeep's over several hundred thousand miles of driving, I have never experienced DW. Other than slightly larger tires or better shocks, my Jeeps were always stock. I know people who have had it happen to their Jeeps and I have even seen it in action. Most of the time it is due to crappily installed lifts and such. I think the new JL is the first Jeep that comes with it from the factory though.

Yeah, mine stickered at $59060. I've got it for sale trying to get upper $40s for it. Otherwise, it gets traded on the next thing.
