Thanks Mark. He actually is a purebred husky. We do also have a malamute as seen in this picture. They're both great dogs and very similar. I say great, but the reality is they're kind of poorly behaved and often do whatever they want. Still very lovable and loving.
Shortly after posting the other picture with the maple leaf, I went in the garage to realize that one or both of them had chewed on one of the front brake lines for a motorcycle, ripping it in half and rendering the front brakes inoperable. Fortunately neither of them seem to have suffered any ill effects from swallowing some of the brake fluid.

I should've recognized the husky by the blue eyes. Malamutes usually have dark brown eyes. When they look big and stocky, I always think malamute. As for the chewing, mine chewed off the bottom gutter turnouts on our house and one time chewed through the electrical cables/metal conduit for the HVAC unit outside the house. It was summertime and a wonder he wasn't electrocuted. It was an expensive emergency repair bill though. Also, I never found the pieces so I assume he swallowed everything and somehow lived.

Here is mine in front of the local liquor store. We are under a 24/7 shelter in place and they serve you at the door. Here is their sign and a picture of the 4r in front of the store.
Next Challenge: Since spring is in the air (at least down here in GA and i am a horticulturalist), post your 4r with native plants that are in bloom. Even better if they are crops that your state is known for producing... Ex: GA-peaches, blueberries.

Here is a pic of mine with the native Eastern Redbud trees that are almost in full bloom right now. They will get redder and darker over the next week or so.
For the next challenge: Your 4Runner or kindred vehicle with one of those X-shaped railroad crossing signs in the picture. The older the better... bonus if it was a leftover on an abandoned crossing.

I was gonna put this one up, the quintessential CA spring wildflower, and state flower, the California poppy (Eschscholzia californica). With the record setting temps in February they're blooming all over.

I wish. But that was a google find. I’ve done some B&W photography but usually my good pics were by accident. This is one of my favorites though admittedly nothing like Ansel’s work. This was shot with DSLR, single-handed while in my Miata following a friend at about 50-60mph in the rain. Exposure was all wrong but I love the yin-yang effect of the over/underexposed elements.

Here’s a true B&W I shot with my iPhone last week. I was trying to catch the current mood of this weird time we are in. This bridge/road is the inspiration for Cormac McCarthy’s novel The Road. I haven’t read the book but the movie was very dark. I live right above it.

The Road. The book and movie are both great, and dark. Very appropriate for the time we are in. Post apocalyptic. The man is sick with a cough.

Ok, I've only had mine for about a month but here are my favorite mods, maybe one is unique.
1) TRD Pro fog lights. I think they're rare because most people seem to run those super-glare aftermarket LEDs.
2) I haven't seen anyone put an FJ 4-Wheel Drive emblem on theirs. I know this one is rare.
I'm also partial to the KO2s but everyone does that.
Next challenge: Your ride next to a tunnel. I will accept a dash shot going thru a tunnel as long as it doesn't cause you to crash.

I wish I had an old FJ40 to peel it off of. It's an OEM emblem but surprisingly made of plastic. It has two bolts molded into the back of it which I dremeled off. Then I used automotive double-sided tape trimmed to fit the back of it. There is an etsy seller that makes a really nice aluminum version that I may buy once the world stops ending.
