SOOTRD: Because it seems that Inferno is the color arriving at dealerships these days, and Super White was the first color distributed, here is what I did to find a Super White one. Check cars.com daily, and reach out to those dealers. You know you want the car, settle on a price by phone, lock in via credit card deposit. Then just go pick it up and drive it home. Do a one way car rental if you have to, or one way plane ticket. Make a weekend out of it. Beats waiting three months for special order. You'll be glad to you did! Another note: Let those dealerships know you are reaching out to everyone for best price and see what they can do. There may be 10 Super White available in the entire country, so I really don't think you will have a lot of bargaining power, (and the dealers know it)...
I agree, I tried truecar.com...I located one 30 miles away from me. They gave me a call....we were talking about pricing...and the salesman said we have one coming in soon, the color I wanted to....$6K mark up (49K for the 4Runner), HA! I said you must be kidding. Most people pay any where from 41K-43K. I said no thanks, I'm not that desperate! I can wait! His excuse was this is the "last one" they are getting. LOL!
Because the excessive wind noise was driving me insane. I had the Ranger model so maybe the stealth is quieter, but the Ranger was very loud. Above 65 it was almost unbearable to me. I repositioned the fairing probably 5 times trying different angles and what not, never really made a difference. So I sold it and bought the Baja.
with what they are charging for the TRD Pros the sunroof should have come standard. So I stop at the Toyota truck area at the NY autoshow and there is an inferno T4R with a sunroof and signal lights on the mirrors. A booth babe walks over and asked do you have any questions, hehehe:girl:
Me: So is this a production model
Girl: Yes (With a perma-grin smile)
Me: Can you get a sunroof with one
Girl: Of course you can!
Me: No you cant
Girl: (Perma-grin gone, starts fiddling with her ipad to show me the options and she cant find it) Let me get someone
Dude with a suit #1: Can I help you
Me: You pleasant staff was telling me you can get a TRDP with a sunroof, I have one and I can tell you it was never an option
Dude with suit #1: I believe different regions may have slight differences in options and there may be some out there
Me: No, I'm pretty sure you are mistaken and I believe this is a pre-production model you have here
Dude with suit #1: Walks over to dude with suit #2 and talks for 5 minutes
Dude with a suit #2: You are correct sir, sorry about the confusion
They should really educate the staff at these shows including the booth babes. I'm sure many people walked away with the wrong information. Even the staff missed the paper notice in the visor that the vehicle is not production.

I happy to be without the sunroof, but I wish we had the roof rack from the 11-13' Trails.
I agree. While a sunroof seems to be a cool thing it's just another thing to break or leak at some point. If it had come with one I really don't think I would have used it here in hot and steamy Alabama. We love our AC down here and if you leave it open the inside of your 4runner will be a nice yellow from the pollen this time of year.
The rack from 11-13 trails would have matched perfectly like they were made for the Pro's.
King noob, at least crappy cell phone pics are in order here, lol!!
Hey all, just got a call from our dealer and he said the trd pro is in their inventory with a production date of 4/2. We put in a request for white or inferno and we are getting white, which is my first choice but inferno was my wife and sons first choice. We live in spokane washington and was wondering what your guys average wait time was from production date. We are so excited.
agree! i'll take some pics tonight when i get home from work (if it's not too dark).
or
i might wait until i install the 3/4" front spacer and 1.25" spidertrax this weekend, and just take pics of everything.
that'll be the limits of my mods for now. next up:
full length roof rack
rocky road supersliders
40 LED lightbar
