4runner TRD Pro

Taking delivery of a ShrockWorks order tomorrow. Can anyone tell if it is signature required? Thanks?

With all the lazy a$$ douches out there that feel entitled to steal packages from the doorstep of someone that actually had the gumption and drive to work and earn money to purchase said goods, I wouldn't be surprised if all companies go to a "sign for delivery" policy.

If it's coming via freight then yes you will have to sign for it. Make sure to open the package in front of the driver before he leaves to make sure there is no damage, I made that mistake with my first roof rack and didn't realized it was damaged till I was about to install it lesson learned....

Good advice!
It's sliders coming UPS. Any special tools needed. I seem to remember someone trumping about a particular nut?

I don't know why people are talking about the TRD CAI. No such thing as of yet for our 4runners. Mainly due to secondary air intake pump added in 14' I believe. I have the TRD filter and so far my gas mileage has been better. 18.5 mixed city/highway/off-roading. I also drive 5 miles to work and back which sucks gas.

The secondary air pump does not interfere with the TRD CAI

PRICE I did much better than that. Several others also have. Depends on your ability to deal, your reasonable expectations, and on your dealers willingness to meet those expectations. Many posts and threads on this subject.
TIME Only your dealer will know or be able to find out when Toyota has reached the magic number and what the cutoff date will be. There is an end date, do your best to expedite this purchase.

I paid 39,700. One dealer told me the best they could do was -$500 under MSRP. I told them to save that for a sucker, walked out, and emailed 5 more dealers in the area with a note that said I was buying the next day. And I did, for $39,700.

Don't sell yourself short.

Front License Plate –*for those in states that require such an obscenity...

So I've had my new TRD Pro for almost 3 weeks now. I'm loving it.

In my opinion, the most dramatic view is any that involves the front. Yet, what do you do if you live in a state that requires a front plate? I live in Ohio and we have to have a front license plate. But, there isn't a receiver for it on the TRD Pro, probably because the designers were like, "yeah, we didn't make the front of this vehicle look the way it does so some idiot beaurocrat could mess it up.

So, for those who live in states that require a front plate, what have you done? Retrofit? Ignore? Move? Start a revolution?

Yes, should have come with a plate holder. I still have mine wrapped in plastic. It should have been in the rear of the vehicle when you purchased it. I would contact the dealer you bought from and ask WTF..

I have not played with it nor mounted it, yet others here have without issue.

The dealer must of put mine on because we require front plate. Did not realize it was not there yo start.

Here is what it looks like. I recently transferred my plates to the great state of Michigan, so I'm taking this off. PM me your address if you really want it and I'll ship it to you for free. Even though you're from my least favorite state in the union

Maybe you mentioned this earlier and I didn't see it, but why did you make the change?

Thanks,

Steve

Because the excessive wind noise was driving me insane. I had the Ranger model so maybe the stealth is quieter, but the Ranger was very loud. Above 65 it was almost unbearable to me. I repositioned the fairing probably 5 times trying different angles and what not, never really made a difference. So I sold it and bought the Baja.

Trd shift knob

Did a search couldn't find an answer....anyone else's shift knob have some play in it? I tried tightening it down but it still moves

Was looking at my front shocks today and noticed my passenger front shock cover does not look right.
