Any TRDPs in NE USA yet? Still waiting for my inferno all the black and white pics look SICK! Thanks for the plastidip tips for the rear emblems - will definitely be doing that. Really excited about these - shame about the no Sunroof thing though.... That was a pretty big deal for me actually... but not quite a deal breaker. :reddance:

Wrapping you vehicle?
Just curious if anyone has did the protective vinyl wrapping of the vehicle. Thinking of either clear or black on entire hood and clear on all front parts.There is a shop here that will do the entire vehicle fro 2,500 with a 10 year guarantee on vinyl and install.

I had a clear bra installed on the entire front end, just below the hood scoop. That included the fenders, grille, headlights and fog lights. I also had the mirror covers covered too along with the inside of the door handles.
All of this and window tint was just over $900.00.

What is the maximum recommended wading depth for the TRD Pro 4Runner?
I was watching this YouTube clip of a guy with a brand new Grand Cherokee doing a water crossing that appears to be quite high. His Grand Cherokee has the adjustable air suspension and he had it at full height while in the water and it was still about a foot above the bottom of his doors. The guy posts on the Jeep forums and when I read his thread, he said that no water got inside the passenger compartment. Do the 4Runner doors have good seals to keep water out?
BTW, I also own a new Grand Cherokee. I just recently got rid of my 4th gen 4Runner for the Jeep and I really do regret it. It's just a matter of time before I'm back in another 4Runner.

it's not the water level as it relates to the doors that i'm worried about, although there are heavy duty rubber seals on the bottom of them, it's water getting into the rear differential and to a lesser extent the wheel bearings.
any time the rear differential is partially/fully submerged it's a possibility that water will enter the stock breather (that allows the transfer case to release pressure/air as it heats).
i'd be very surprised if the owner of that JGC didn't have issues due to that water crossing.

Water in "sealed" bearings is a killer. I'd much rather have water in the diff oil. At least that is easily changable.
FWIW, my ex-brother inlaw did a similar water/mud in his jeep commander and sucked the electric fan into the radiator, which messed up both fan and radiator.

New to this Forum.
Previous 98 4runner owner. Traded 4runner for a 2013 Tacoma TRD OR. Now trading taco for Super White TRD Pro.
Next week I will find out if my dealer has been allocated one. He's assured me my order has been locked in as of last week. Been reading through all the threads and see ambiguity throughout. Dealer has also assured me that Toyota will do at least another round of the limited production models. So my order should be safe. With that being said, I've ordered a personalized plate: TRD PRO! yay or nay?

Now I just need Shrockworks to hurry up with my step sliders.Yeah, I understand that. But I'd also be concerned with getting water in the cabin as well on any new vehicle.
Jeep says that all Grand Cherokees are rated to safely sit in 20" of water for a certain amount of time (I think it's 20 or 30 minutes) without causing any issues. I'm still curious if water will get into the diffs or the transfer case though.
And so far, the owner of the Grand Cherokee says that he's had no issues at all. I guess time will tell.
