Did not know that. Stupid. Glad I have a Pro. Seriously, all my cars are auto, would drive me freaking nuts. Bad enough neither have memory seat options...

It makes no sense really. Why would a PRO 'Qualify' for auto headlights but a Trail Premium does not. It's a feature all vehicles should have.
I honestly searched. I just ordered the ToyTec TRD Pro lift from their on-line store with the FJSummit discount.
I am getting ready to order tires. The sales guy at the booth said that 285-75-R17's would fit with their lift but I actually wheel to the absolute limit of the truck and at full stuff this seems unlikely. So I'd like a second opinion from real world experience.
2015 Inferno Pro 4Runner with worn out stock tires.
Also-- I am in Montrose and I wheel almost every weekend if anyone ever wants to go. I have a '95 on 40's if you want to do more serious trails.

aspect ratio 70 or 75?
the 33" 285/70/17's many have fit with that kit and some relatively minor trimming. I recall 1 or 2 with the larger 285/75/17s and I'm not sure that kit would cut it the way you describe driving it. i'm pretty certain it would also require a bmc and a regear would be optimal. also i think most who have gone with the larger ~34" tires go with a 3" lift or MT/LT suspension where i believe the TRD kit you speak of is a 2" kit, correct?

Anyone found an easy way to clean the TRD wheels? It's a PITA to clean them, trying to find something that works good and isn't highly acidic.
Toytec Lift - 285/70/17 NITTO TRAIL GRAP- fit with no issue & no rubbing. had to remove the front mud flaps though just to be safe. Otherwise they would definitely get torn off while going over rocks. Also have demello sliders which fit without issue. no need for any sort of cutting etc.
you WILL need a lift if you want tires of this size.

just go to your local Harley Davidson dealer and look at their detailing products for motorcycles with matte paint. Probably a quicker (but likely more expensive option) if you're in a rush

Awesome, this is great to know. I have the Toytec lift and am gonna go with the 285/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers when my Terras wear down.. they're slightly less wide than the Trail Grapplers. 32.76in diam 11.5in width on the Ridge vs. 33.15in diam 11.81in width on the Trails

Anyone else feel that toyota is about to start milking on the TRD's?
Just saw they launched the 17 TRD PRO Tacoma and its 41,700, which doesent fall in line with the traditional price structure of the 4runner and Tacoma. The 4Runners have always had a higher cost(Partly due to the higher content = higher production costs.
The only way this makes sense is... if they plan to raise the price on the 17 4Runner Trail(Now TRD OFF ROAD) and the TRDP'S

I got my TRD for 2K off, otherwise i would have opted for the Trail and done the mods myself. The more I look at the new pricing the less it makes sense to me if i was buying a TRDP today.

Yep. Looks awesome. But was a little too tight. Had to have a part overnighted and will be picking up today. Then I'll need to do some fender liner modifications to make it all work! [emoji16]

Shrockworks rear bumper
I put the sliders on my TRD and I was very pleased with fitment, etc. I am considering ordering the rear bumper sans tire rack but it sounds like they only have a few and they are not quite sure if the factory spare fits underneath still. Anybody here have any input?

My sentiments exactly. I got $1,500 off. Even at the '16 pricing on the T4R Pro versus a fully loaded Tacoma DC TRDOR with Premium and Tech, the 4Runner was a no brainer and better buy. Now, with the '17 Taco PRO pricing basically the same as the '16 T4R Pro pricing, it just doesn't make any sense. I've always said the new Taco was overpriced.
