4Runner water fording capabilities might be needed today...

It's been flooding in Houston (they dont' call it the Bayou City for nothing). It looks like this 4Runner owner did not see the ditch...what's the water fording capability of our 4Runners again? I might need to know for my commute home (seriously).

JS - with Houston honored as the "Fattest City" by Men's Health magazine, I don't think it would be all that hard to find some people to sit in the back to level out the 4Runner!

what's the water fording capability of our 4Runners again?

The air intake is around the front passenger side fender, but you risk getting water inside the cabin before you hydrolock. The biggest danger is what you can't see under the water like what happened to the driver in your pic. Best thing to do is not drive too fast and keep a good bow wave going, or just park the truck on high ground and wait it out.
