4runners lacking off-road

I had a 2wd sr5 that I took through more shit than I've seen any videos of. Going up a hill and rock climbing can have the same answer as what a few of you have said for mud "go fast get tires". I use to take my 2wd up and over shit my friends 4wd trucks wouldn't go over, either because they were to scared to break something or they just could not physically make it over.... You put a prius going the right speed and it will go through the same shit, but that wasn't my question.I was simply asking "where is a video of a 5th gen in some deep mud". I guess everyone's entitled to their opinion and I guess my opinion of off roading is a bit different than you middle aged 4runner baby's ;)

This is where the thread gets interesting

The only thing missing from this post is "Hold my beer. I got this." Asked and answered...

Ok well since everyone wants to be sarcastic about my question here is what I want to see but in a 5th gen.. You can't find any 5th generation going through a decent amount of mud or deep soft terrain. Going up silly rocks and babying it on pussу public trails is not impressive nor does it fully use the 4runners off road potential. Any vehicle with a 4wd system can do the majority of whats been shown for the 5th gen.....

I see a whole lot of b*tching and not a lot of doing. Go make a video of you in a 4Runner "going through a decent amount of mud" (whatever that is) and post it. Show us all how incredibly capable you are with it!! God knows guys like Jonesssy, 1engineer, Intruder, Warner9 (what's his name?) all need to be shown what real off roading is!

Your question regarding the lack of 4Runner videos going through deep mud reminded me of a question I've had for a while. Where are all the videos of 4Runners jumping?!? I don't mean a little bit of jumping, but real jumping. All 4 tires off the ground for at least 1.4 seconds!!! All I see are guys getting a tire off the ground here and there, but no JUMPING!!!!!! WHERE IS ALL THE JUMPING!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!

FYI, to the OP: My post is not intended to discourage you from posting. Most trolling is pretty lame and boring, but yours has a higher content of comedic value, so keep it coming. Also, JUMPING!!!

Just in case ythe OP isn't actually trolling (and it seems less and less likely)...

The reason there are not as many INSANE offroad videos for 5th gens over say first or second is simple. The vehicles are still far too new for people to seriously tear into them with a torch to make them as radically capable, and put them through utter hell, as people do with older vehicles that only cost them $1000 to buy!

When 5th gens are all 10-20 years old, people will be doing the same things with them as people are doing with older runners now. Did you expect any different?!?

How about you take a 25 to 40k 5th gen, do an axel swap, long travel, chop off the fenders, regear, 37 mudders, put a full roll cage on it and go tackle the tough stuff, denting and bashing the hell out of it while filming and show us?

:rockthrow:

You and I and many others have provided the OP links showing 4runners in action (in muddy terrain and elsewhere) and yet he keeps requesting more proof...

I say we all let this thread die and stop feeding the troll...

Those are just ridiculous, my unborn child's future 2035 Prius will be able to tackle those mud holes!

Sounds like you would be more comfortable in Chevy Silverado or a Dodge Ram. While you're at it throw on some bro wheels, cheap light bars that you use as DRLs, 6" body lift, and oh yeah a Monster energy drink sticker on the rear window. Yeah, you seem like that kind of a tool.
