[4Runnin Tahoe]

2001 4runner Limited

I picked her up in Feb 2012 after researching and looking for years.

It was as stock as they come when I got it. But it did some with allweather mats:thumb3:

What I've done so far:
-Whitson Metalworks 3/4 Roof Rack
-199mm Tundra brake upgrade.
-Tundra springs w/5100's, OME 890's w/ 5125's.
-265/75/16 Bridgestone Revo 2 A/T's.
-Black vinyl hood wrap.
-SCS F5 Wheels Matte Jet Black
-Black badges.
-TRD Offroad decals.
-Homemade Satoshi grille.
-Smoked out parking lights.
-PA system.
-LED gauge lights, key ring, licence plate, dome lights, passenger and driver foot light (more LED upgrades coming soon).
-Running board delete.
-DRL disable.
-Yakima Loadwarrior.
-Small little cosmetic things.

Future mods:
-Too many things to list

I did my Satoshi grille mod about a month after I got my car, so around mid-May. I know a lot of people use bondo, fiberglass, etc for filling in the holes after you cut the middle part of the grille, but I left a little part of it for mounting points.

Everything I needed to build it:
-1997 T4R Grille. I found it at a junkyard. I was very lucky it was in great shape.
-The metal mesh material was just rain gutter material I found at ACE Hardware.
-Rustoleum Satin Black paint. (I had some Por-15 left over from painting my frame, so I used that for an undercoat. It made the metal mesh grille stronger and impossible to chip.)
-Self locking screws.
-Masking tape.
-Little hand saw.

Sweet! You should check out CogaPA. I installed a CogaMAX and two speakers in my rig a few years ago and it's awesome! I mounted the speakers just behind the front fender in front of the tires.

Got some LED dome lights. The camera makes everything dimmer than it actually is. So the stock lights aren't as bad as they seem and the LED's are even brighter!

I really didn't like the new muffler at first...it was soooo loud, but its growing on me and I'll probably keep it. I was seriously considering ripping it off when I first got it installed.

Nice mods so far, man. Simple, but very clean. I like the way you did the Satoshi mod by leaving the small sections of the center support as attachment points for the grille material. That looks like it saved some work and made the process much simpler.

Also, the smoked corner lights & turn signals look clean. Your picture almost makes me want to ditch the clear corners on my '01.
