4Runnin Tahoe's Build Thread

So I got some led amber corner lights. Much better than stock. Then I painted that sun damaged bumper plastic piece.

Still saving up for that lift!

spenedwrds TRDteen How I did this was really simple, I went to pepboys, bought two small white led strips and a 12V Cigarette Lighter Plug with positive and negative leads. I just wired them together, tucked the wires under the center console and voila! I'll eventually free up some space and wire them to another power source, but this works for now. One extra thing I had to do was dim the led lights a little bit. They were really bright so I put some film tint I had lying around over them. Lemme know if you have questions, or if I didn't explain something well.

Nice man. You have to turn it on manually thought right? I would want them to come on with doors. But like u said. Temporary.

So after months of researching and saving up some $$, I finally got my lift!
Tundra springs/5100's. (probably gonna leave it on the first perch)
OME 890's/5125's.

Congrats on the lift purchase! That's a cute little beag-let.

We have one in the family named Violet, hence I call all beagles beaglets.

Yeah sure! I'll let you know, I'm pretty busy the next couple weeks though. Where are the pics of your lift.

my girlfriend is being lame and wont let me borrow her camera to take some pictures of it. I was also waiting for the rear springs to settle a bit before i took pics

Got my Ultragauge yesterday! Its a cool little device. Definitely worth the $70.
I got an engine light a couple days ago, so I got the Ultragauge just in time to tell me what's up...its a P1135 code btw...:mmph:

Pictures of the lift?!?!

Haven't had time yet to put the lift on, next weekend I will though! And trust me, there will be pictures.

O2 or MAF

Yeah, I've been researching it a little. I hooked it up to a nicer scanner at my old auto shop (Acalanes) and it said "P1135 A/F Sensor Heater Circuit Fault B1S1". Now from what I read from other posts, if my car is a California Emissions vehicle, it's the A/F sensor, and if it's a Federal Vehicle, its the O2 sensor? Did I get that right, or is it the other way around? Or am I just completely wrong?

Btw, I saw you the other day on N. Main street, I was working and I yelled "Sexy 4Runner" I dunno if you heard me.

Okay now im pretty sure its your O2 sensor, because O2 sensor has 4 wires, 2 for sensory, 2 for heater (O2 sensor don't work when they are cold) your heater wires are not working, you can either take it out and test it with a meter or just replace sensor they don't cost that much.

Lol i heard someone yelling at me on N main one day, didn't know what you said tho, so it drove me crazy like "wtf was that". i get yelled at alot on walnut creek cuz i always come out a corner like a raging dog front wheel up in the air BAJA style, no sway bar+ lead foot = fun

Yeah that makes sense, thanks!

If anyone's interested in my mounting location choice, I'll post some pics.

-Took out the ash tray.
-Cut off most of the suction cup on the ultragauge windshield mount.
-Used double sided adhesive tape.
It's on there pretty good, it doesn't rattle and I can adjust the flexible neck without the base of the mount lifting off.
