4Running Daily's Build Thread

Dude once you start at ASu you've got to post some pictures of ASU girls/parties in this thread. Your hit count will go through the roof.

Is this a DIY or will a shop be installing this? I have them linked so when mine goes out about 2020 I can order one.

Already have orientation @ ASU?

I previously swapped my OEM one out for a Dous's rebuilt one. But now it's leaking again too. So once my Safari rack comes in I'm gonna swap it myself again, should be easier the second time right? haha

Orientation was a while ago haha

Even with a serious girlfriend here I'm picking up Brian and we're heading to Tempe, then Lake Havasu for Spring Break next year. ASU girls are the second best eye candy that any college campus has to offer; FSU is the leader. You better post some pics here after you arrive.

Good luck with the new rack install. Still $500 and change out the door?

Ya, it's $495 plus tax and $30 for shipping.

Installed an OEM 10mm trim pack on the driver's side to make the back level again. Darn gas tank skid. Seems to have worked quite well.

I'm installing the Safari Steering Rack tomorrow. Should be lots of fun. At least from what I remember from last time.

The amount of maintenance in the first post of this thread is incredible. Luckily, I should be done for quite a long time now. Which means it's time to name my next mod.

A Savage Rear Bumper in December-ish
Dual Cases with Triple Sticks in Summer 2015
Then 35's and gears after.

Alright Connor, I've been searching the last hour and I'm still clueless. I'm getting a bunch of maintenance out of the way before I regret it and I'm to the steering rack. Why is the safari steering rack better than oem? All I have so far is the brass bushings. this seems to be the rack to get but why? Thanks ahead of time!

Honestly, no idea. I just know that basically every time someone has replaced a steering rack with one other then a Safari, for example a Toyota Reman or Autozone, that they have ended up going wrong again. In one case I read that a Toyota reman was replaced a week after installation. I bought Safari simply because it was a product that had the best reviews, and after talking to them over the phone, I knew that they were the company that deserved my business.

Aren't you in school yet? I have to ask if books are included in the scholarship? Just hold on to those receipts if they aren't (they weren't for me).

Nice job on the rack. Are those new hard lines?

And that's kind of why i'm leaning towards it. Thank you.

I move in tomorrow. Books aren't covered. Safari rack comes with new hard lines installed.

I'm now in Phoenix until December though!
Wooh! Time to wheel some new peeps.

Have fun. Just don't lose sign of why you're there. And don't be a stranger.

One more reason to get the Safari rack for me then.
