Sorry to hear that.
Have you sourced an engine?
You should talk to CoB. He's pretty good at finding engines.

Quick, everyone boost my confidence and tell me to do a V8 swap.

Sure, why not.
LS9 with a TR6060 trans. Custom adapter to an Atlas T-case. Full-floating rear axle. Either a custom IFS front end, or SFA swap.
I look forward to seeing the progress.

Kraze where in Idaho did you end up calling home?
Well that doesn't look good! I ended up in the Coeur d'Alene area, about 10-15 minutes away from downtown. The 4runner gets a lot more compliments up here, that's for sure!

What the hell is going on down there:heh:
Hey Kraze. CCOR went back to Bronco's Peak this last weekend. What a carnage filled day. 4 rigs - A jeep twisted off the front U-Joint. FJ Mike blew the A-Trac on all four wheels and BobbiNeloson not only blew the A-Trac out in the front but also snapped his rear ChroMolly axle shaft. 3 out of the four rigs had to be winched most of the way to the top. FJ Mike also remolded both sides of his door via outcropping rocks.
I bought a motor from the junkyard, and had it put in after a fair amount of refurbishing... I ended up replacing....
Timing Belt and Water Pump
The Clutch (with the Master and Slave Cylinders)
Gaskets: Valve Cover, Oil Cooler Seals/ Gasket, and Rear Main
All 6 Injectors (the one on cylinder number 6 had to be replaced twice)
New A/C Compressor (plus the receiver drier and expansion valve) - Can't make it through a South Texas summer with out this option...
New Belts, Hoses, Spark Plugs, and Coil Packs (because I'm no dummy)...
Grand Total on Parts... $1,607.48... I only paid $725 for the motor (delivered), it came from a 1999 4Runner Highlander Edition that did a rollover trick for its last owner, it only had 98,000 original miles... What a waste... we won't talk about how much I paid my master tech to put the motor in....
This is pretty close to what I am currently in the process of doing.
So no 2UZ then? At this point any motor will suffice I would think.
Got any more Alberta pics? I know its no Matterhorn.....
Can anyone spot the problem?
