Touching back on the mixed reviews I've read about the ride on the street. My out take is that I was very impressed! I'm not sure if it's because I'm somewhat used to a variety of lifted vehicles including a few Jeeps with different set ups in the past but as far as I'm concerned it rides fantastic! Yes there is some body roll and no, it won't handle a higher speed turn or fast over corrections the same way as a stock Runner would but driving sensibly, it is smooth, plush and comfortable. I was so worried that I'd regret a long travel on my daily driver and all for nothing as I couldn't be happier. I am also very glad I went with 285x70x17 vs some of the larger/wider tire sizes I was contemplating because one thing that makes driving the 4.7 Runner a lot of fun for me is the power and I don't feel much power loss with this set up.
I have yet to to take it off road but I'm confident it will surpass my expectations. I've broke the bank on this build and don't plan on hammering it just yet, call me what you will but yes, I built it mainly because I was so inspired by the "Baja" look and I feel it wouldn't be quite right without a long travel suspension. It will definitely get some play time at the beach and some off road terrain, hopefully one day some playtime out in Barstow, Glamis or deserts of Nevada but for now I'm enjoying some light off roading with the family, looking at it and driving it to and from work everyday

thank you very much for the kind words guys! I appreciate it, definitely am excited, it took a lot of contemplating to pull the trigger on it but I am glad things worked out and it is coming out as planned.
Yes at first I was looking for a 2wd actually to save costs and maintenance but very happy a friend ended up selling hers and had a 4wd.. There is a lot of sand here and 4wd helps a lot, it is worth the extra $ spent for me.

hahaha , I was debating on making a thread, wasn't sure the usefulness I would contribute but I just wanted to take some time to contribute to an awesome forum, if it gives even one person some ideas or any help, I'm happy.
So after picking it up, I immediately experienced tire rubbage at full turn. On My FJ (the gf's now) that has a Fabtech kit on it, came with weld on plates for a body mount chop mod. Got me a pair of those and had Brian chop my body mounts and weld them on for me. No rubbage anymore!
Btw the part number is FT70094 each plate if anyone may want to get some. Could easily be made by a competent mechanic but they were cheap enough to save some labor time. Could be useful for those trying to fit the biggest and widest tires on their 4th gen. Possibly fit 5th gen as well. After the mod it really adds a world of clearance.

Just a small detail I forgot to mention earlier that is off subject but was a pleasant surprise. My original headlights looked pretty faded, ratty and had slight cracks from the inside and because I had to cut costs here and there on these kinda of things I found Angel Eyes brand aftermarket replacements on Amazon for just over 100 bux shipped to me for the pair and they are working out great! Look great , fit well, been through some rain, also washed the runner today after buffing some over spray off from rattle canning the frame etc. Purposely doused the headlights with water And so far no leaks or condensation. Seems like a great value so far! The light sockets doesn't lock in as snug as stock but won't go anywhere so all good.

As I found out, the stock windshield washer reservoir location doesn't work with the coilover reservoirs. After some eBay and amazon searching, I found one with the dimensions that I thought would work perfectly. It was about $34 shipped so I figured why not! Other options I seen were in the $200 or close to it which I wanted to avoid if I could.
Waiting for my day off so I can claim back my windshield washing capabilities!
