I had to get with Borla , the intermediate pipe going to the driver side was slightly off, they sent me an extension and clamps. Awesome customer service! All good after that! Love this exhaust, a lot more throaty, not too loud, sounds awesome when you Get on the throttle!

Also looks like I may be finally getting the rear Japan flares on the way with Burtman, looks like 03-05 was disco'd. Going to be going with the 06-09, I'm going to change the rear bumper skin if I have too, other than that after some research with the dealer, it should fit perfectly. Looks like on the front of the flare due to a slight difference in cladding height there might be a spot I'll have to figure out but I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I also added some led strips for better visibility...

Alright so finally getting around to the rear flares. Unfortunately the ones that were meant to match my cladding (03-05) were discontinued so I went ahead with the 06-09 ones thinking it shouldn't be much differrent if I ran the 06+ rear bumper skin and thought I could make it work. I was way wrong as the cladding area was totally differrent. To the point where there was no way to do it without some major modifications to the flares way out of my skill level.

Bummer! Maybe find out if a body shop could make them fit?

After trying to find a fiberglass guy around town, I finally found someone with a great reputation and I got to see some of his work and was impressed however after a couple of months of being told "I'll let you know when I can schedule you in" numerous times every couple of weeks I try and follow up I came to the conclusion he either can't do what I need him too or flat out doesn't want too. I wish I was told that earlier so I could've looked for someone else but it is what it is. :) here's another pic, I think it would really add a nice touch once it gets done!

After talking to someone we sub out work to all the time I don't know why I didn't ask earlier but lucked out today! When I asked if they did fiberglass work he said yes all the time! I showed him the flares and we lined it up on my Runner he said it won't be easy but he could cut and remold/reshape the areas that didn't match my cladding to fit. I was like lets do this! Gave him the keys and can't wait to see how it turns out. I needed it back by Sunday because I am shipping her off Monday morning. He said if he can't get it totally done and painted he shouldn't have a problem having it done, fitted and primed by then.

I will post up whatever happens, can't wait as I wanted to get this done for months. Here's another pic of an area that will need to be redone.

Yep that's exactly where its at now! Can't wait to see what happens. The flares
aren't a functional addition as far as wheel travel but I believe should add a nice touch to the look. I still have plenty of wheel travel, I just might have to look into bumpstop details and or removing my rear wheel spacers before I try jumping anything lol...

I didn't want my body modified or anything molded to the body so this was the best option plus the lines of it Match the front fenders quite nicely I thoght.

will look awesome! Thats the first think people ask me "do they make one for the rear?''

Im excited to see the final results.

Thanks so much ! I truly appreciate it.

I asked if they could text me a pic, looks like it's coming along!

Just finished reading your thread. Your build is killer man. Color change, bumper, long travel... I feel sorry for your bank account but I'm jealous of your truck. Really great work man. Beautiful.

Thank you! Yes it's a disease but i think I finally found a vehicle I want to keep. I have a bad habit of getting tired of a build and selling to start another but this one is really unique to me and I believe I want to keep it till the end of time lol. I am trying not to get out of hand but not cut any corners at the same time.
