4Th Gen Chat Thread

Been thinking on them EBay arms myself, just need to change my LBJ first and see if that takes care of my issues, dayum gen3 guys keep abusing my ride following them to places.
Have a 30 curve and some pods to mount and wire incognito on my rack first.

awdjunkies.... Putting one in the hood would look pretty good.
Might have to add a fairing also, is pretty tubulant up there.

Gah!! I miss my 3rd gen sometimes ... I do have a fairing up there which is hooked up to my basket, But I was thinking of deleting "IT" and installing a light bar in it's place, but yeah, I see what you are saying, especially lately as it has been very windy around here.

I built one like WMW but sets back a little more in the front, just a lot of noise starting at 35mph no wind. Might have build a fairing to get rid of it.
You can't mount it above the fairing. I got a welder and could weld some tabs or flat stock up there for you if need be.

Edit...would be below your fairing on yours I do believe.

I saw the build/finished product and was Jelly at your skills, sir :yo:
Totally appreciate the helping hand  but My basket/fairing is a cheapy one. I purchased it to eventually find a stock Sport wheel and mount it up there, along with a shovel, gas can, etc.. to prepare it for when the XREAS to 5100 Billies transformation comes about lol

Thank you Sergio.... If it's metal, I can modify it. Just let me know if I can be of service for you.

That's awesome Marie, What mount did you go with ? I know we aren't talking 3th gens but, there was a member a while ago selling a cool looking mount he Fab'd up.

lol, in all seriousness (not really though)

whats everyones next planned mod?

I'm planning a 30" in my lower grille, but probably some eBay uniballs first

^ 30" LED in place of my lower grille as well, also have my retrofitted headlights and painted bumper ready to go on once the weather clears up

You guys on the East Coast have it pretty bad(Or awesome depending on how you view the opportunity to go play in the snow lol ) right now, I see.

Bad news is: I had to go to work today.

My powerball picks just didn't do it.

Good news is: I have 10 days off after today!

:eyebrows:

:D

Oh, and IMHO, this thread is a great idea!

We need a lounge, etc. to b s around in and ask questions.

It'll be fun!

When I was younger, it was cool, because we had snow days. Now that I'm an adult, snow SUCKS. I have to clean it, I don't have snow days and I have to worry about my wife driving in it with my 3 year old (she's not experienced in it). Lived in the Poconos when I was young so I consider myself pretty good in the white stuff. Don't forget, those of us in the rustbelt also have to contend with liquid brime (and salt) they put on the roads for traction. Those who know: that rusts our chassis into oblivion if one doesn't take care of it (by regularly power washing the chassis).

Yeah, it is what it is... I don't mind the snow, I can't stand the cold or the ice though. Honestly, we've been super lucky compared to surrounding areas. We're supposed to get hit hard next week though...:fear:
