Hey all.
I bought my 4Runner about 8 months ago and have done exclusively paved road driving with it since. I need a vehicle like this about as much as I need a hole in my head, but I bought it 'cause I've drooled over TR4s since I learned what a steering wheel was for and when I went looking for a new vehicle, the choice was simple.
Now that the honeymoon phase is over I'm itching to see what this machine can do off the beaten path. I've read the manual cover to cover, scoured this forum since before I brought her home, and still feel like I don't know what in the hell all of the bells and whistles are for, and more importantly, when to use 'em. I know the difference between 4-Hi & 4-Lo and I know what a locker does (but couldn't tell you what the Torsen system even is) and that's about the limit of my off-road knowledge.
Has anyone ever come across a thread here, or site elsewhere, that breaks down our vehicle's capability for "dummies" like me? Clearly I'm trouble waiting to happen too far off the beaten path...
