Lol profile looks good but mind you it was a nightmare to get to the bolts to tighten down the RTT. I am convinced that if you die and go to hell, Satan will have you installing roof top tents on prinsu racks as punishment.
The good news is, once it's installed, you can just take the two cross bars off when you remove your tent, leaving them attached to the RTT.

How different? You mean the cut out for the light bar or something else?

Yeah my light bar cutout is 42 inches wide. Yours looks smaller

What are you using for mounts on that lightbar? I currently have a 40 inch lightbar that I'd like to install just like that on an eventual Prinsu.

My light bar was purchased on ebay.... here I just used the mounts supplied with the light bar, and used the special bolts supplied with the prinsu that you slide into the channel with the threads pointing up... I then mounted the crossbar behind the fairing on the lower holes so the light bar sits low

That's a good thought. Didn't think of that. The Relentless one has all welded bars and if it's as bad as you say then just taking those end bolts off would be the easiest. Obviously you would have to support the weight of the tent while taking them out. With that said, would you recommend putting anti-theft bolts for those 8 bolts so someone doesn't just come up and take them out? People are ballsy these days!

I am thankful enough to live in a really low crime area, so I don't see the need, but if you live somewhere a little more rough you could always do that...

Oh... yeah. My cutout is only 32in... This is my first roof top light bar, so I couldn't see spending the extra $$ on the bigger light (... yet at least, LOL).

Where did you run the electrical?
I couldnt see any cabling/cords in the pix you posted... Im curious to know where/how you did it for that clean look. Any pictures to show details would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

DI'd he give the option of light bar size when ordering? When I ordered mine there was no option..
I ran my wire down my factory rain gutter, where the OEM rack used to sit. I then ran it into the hatch, in the already existing hole for the 3rd brake light and other electrical stuff in the hatch. I then doubled back and went all the way up my headliner, to the a pillar, into the firewall. Took double the wire but didn't need to drill any holes.

Yes, there were 2 options... the 42" and 32" cutouts for 40" and 30" light bars, respectively.

WOW. This guy totally stole Josh's (Whitson Metalworks) design. It's almost 100% identical. I'd be careful if I were that guy, Gobi sent a cease and desist to WMW last year and he was forced to shut down. Not cool.

I'm willing to bet there are some differences, regardless, whatever. Someone saw a design that wasn't patented and ran with it. As far as the WMW lawsuit goes it had nothing to do with the actual design of the rack as the Gobi and WMW racks are clearly different side by side. You're like the 2nd person in as many weeks to make that mistake about the lawsuit.

Thanks, but I know he entirety of it. I worked directly with Josh, built his website and know the reason Gobi went after him is because they hold the patent to any rack that mounts to stock location. I'm just saying it's cheap that he copied Josh's design. The Gobi and Baja are at least different looking.

Instead of coming out and straight saying watch out because of Gobi, blahblahblah, you should try mentioning it's because of the mount, which I'm also well aware of. Without having this one and a WMW side by side, there's no way to tell whether it's an exact copy or not. Is it close? Sure. Good for the guy on taking a design that works, just like many other roof racks (baja and gobi both for example) and running with it. WMW had the opportunity to fight it, I even donated 100 bucks towards the cause, and bowed out without even trying. Why didn't he change the way it was mounted and stay in business if that's all the lawsuit was REALLY about? Who cares, that's neither here nor there any longer.

Litigation is long and expensive, and tough to do for a one man show with a newborn baby.
But thanks for telling me what I should do, last I checked this is a free speech forum and I was offering a warning, which some people would heed. Why didn't you offer this advice if you seem to know the correct words to say? And you condone taking someone else's efforts and capitalizing on someone else's misfortune?
