Orion Motor Tech 1" wheel adapter, 2 of these were mounted for 1 week and the other two have never been mounted at all, paid $79, $40 OBO for all four, plus shipping from 23188,

I bought these items as part of my long-term master plan, but ended up changing my mind and going with Bilsteins and Toytec springs and 285s.

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to the 4runner scene and I'm on the hunt for a 2005-2009 4runner sport v8 4wd BUT I would like to understand what the difference is between the Full-Time 4WD vs an AWD system. School me my fellow 4runner enthusiasts!

With AWD, the percentage of power going from the engine to the wheels is split between the front getting something like ~20% and the rear getting ~80%. In contrast a true 4WD system splits this evenly between front and back. However, Toyota essentially let's you have both by giving you a central diff lock, this locker forces the power to go 50/50 to the front and rear.

I think it automatically engages when you go into 4 Low, but I'm not sure on that. But essentially yes, it's all wheel drive until you tell it not to be.
