Conclusion: Not Worth It

Problem: 5th Gen Sun Visors do not extend on the mounting rod like 4th Gen visors do.

Hypothesis: Simple Swap is Possible

Results:
-4th Gen Visor $211
-4th Gen Visor significantly smaller in area of coverage
-4th Gen Visor does not have sliding extensor built in like 5th Gen
-POM3 plug on 5th, POM1 on 4th
-Color Mismatch
-Latch Point smaller on 4th vice larger on 5th

...and that closes this chapter of stupid ideas from Ryan. I'm selling audiobooks and signed posters out front if you're interested.

If you hit 3 balls out of 10 in MLB you would be a superstar. In other words, missing 7 out of 10 is nothing to be ashamed of.

So am I ticking that as one more point for the 4th Gen against the 5th Gen or just that you unfortunately failed on the swap? :P

Good effort though, thanks for spending the money and time to test it out and let us know.

I still want hybrid features. I might still explore deconstructing one or both of them to see if it can work.
