They suck, will get you by though.

Yeah, oh I know. I read that thread after I installed them, and was like, eh, I'll be fine. 2000 miles later, RIP shock. I replaced the one that broke with an ARB shock. I need to get around to doing the same on the other side.

I'm not so worried about the fronts (multiple points of force distribution), but eventually, I'll get ARBs.

Arb shocks? Which ones are those? Ya I wasn't happy. I broke the rear, they leaked all the oil out, and a front one blew out as well before the rears. The fronts are tolerable, the rear shocks suck! They are not valved correctly by any means.

I have the ARB OME Nitrocharger Sport shock (60004).

Thankfully it only broke at the stud, but goddamn was I pissed. I was 3 miles deep into a trail at Arches NP. I drove that ***** out just fine, but that should've never happened.

Fronts are fine

How does everyone like the bilstein 5100s?

but the rears....With the intro of the 6112 "kit" it's becoming kind of obsolete due to the superior size, design and damping of the 6112. Als the entire kit is about the same cost as a set of adjustable coils and 5100 struts..

Ohhhh duh! Lol. Ya ome is much better quality. I just wish they made them a little longer.
After the oil leaked out of mine it bound up and the weight of the tire and axle ripped that sucker right apart! Lol. Damn thing, was a crazy ride until I got a replacement.

Yeah, I'm pretty satisfied so far. But once I swap out the shock and coils for OME896s, I think I'll be done. I'm too lazy to swap out the front shocks, hahaha.

For sure at 3.5" or higher. But really, it depends on the vehicle, it'll be slightly different every time. I have a 3" lift on mine, and I don't think I plan to replace my UCAs anytime soon. You will get the wandering (again, how noticeable it is will be different per vehicle) when braking, or at speed. It's hard to describe, but you know what it is once you get there.

After 5000 miles on my lift, I don't really see the point. The wandering is pretty unnoticeable for me.

Sweet, thank you

Where are you getting your price from? At best I've found them for around $660.
5100's are about $95/shock and $75/spring.

Thanks for catching that...

Youre right. Brain fart. Meant to compare the cost with an adjustable coilover using the 5100 toytecs..

I'd still go with the 6112s...

Yes, a great tire. I ran a set on my 3rd gen for a year. They look super tough and their off-road and deep snow traction was more than adequate. I had load range e and found them too firm for my needs so I sold them.

2.5 inch suspension lift specs question.

Hey Everyone,

I am throughly confused at this point. The question may have already been answered and I missed it, so I am just going to ask it again :bounce:

I have a 2007, SR5, 4x4 with stock suspension.

I would like to have 2.5 lift and leveled out.

I am going with OME suspension however; I have no idea what specs I need in the front and specs I need in the back to make it a 2.5 inch level all the way around.

Can someone help !?!?!?!

The Slee low lift uses the 883 for 2"

and 884 for 3"s so if you use the 884s it seems like youll be nose hi. You could do the 883s with a spacer.

Lift Result

I have a 2004 4runner Limited 4WD.
I just replaced OEM equipment with Bilstein 5100's and Toytec Eibach coil springs.

I'm worried I've done something wrong. Pavement to fender at the middle of the wheel prior to install was 33.5", after its 39". I expected about 2.5-3" based on what others have reported on here, not almost 6". I have the bilsteins set to the 3rd notch - (1.75").

Any thoughts? Should I have just used stock springs instead of the Eibach?

EDIT:
Check that the spring seat is the right way up. People sometimes install it up side down and that causes too much lift.

Yep, I'm an idiot. Though to be fair, I had guys at a shop put the springs on with a compressor, I just didn't check their work correctly. Thanks techno
