I had moog coils on my 4runner v8 4x4. Got front and rear. Took them off road hard and other than doing another alignment for riding harsh, it drives great.

Thanks for that information. I saw that thread before I looked over the stories of how the spring just wouldn't fit.
But if it only takes a little elbow grease, instead of not fitting at all, I'll be happy.

2003 4runner sport. I have a cbi winch bumper and 9500lb winch. I'm guessing about 260lbs of extra weight up front. I'm ditching the xreas in favor of the bilstein adjustable struts and rear shocks.
My question is 2 parts. What should I set the struts at to get as close to level with the rear, and should I use stock springs or use some trd taco springs on a lower setting?

Read the first page with tize size and lift info. But spoiler alert, no, not a chance with stock lift.

Suspension lifts don't give you tire clearance so you will only need to trim just as much as anybody else with 34's that flex out on trails without rubbing. We are talking heavy body mount chop, trimming the front bumper corner, trimming the rear of the front fender plastic, and beating in the firewall and pinch welds with a hammer. You will need wheel spacers or aftermarket offset wheels to space the tire away from the upper control arm and the spindle, and remove your mudflaps front and rear obviously.

Wondering if some of you guys can advise me on my setup. I have 2003 Limited V8 4x4. Previous owner removed Xreas already. I installed Bilstein 5100 in the front (set at 0.85") with Moog FJ springs and the lift is perfect. Rear is stock RAS suspension right now and now I'm planning on what to put at the rear. I know I'm going to use Bilstein 5100 in the rear with the Metal tech conversion kit and pull out the RAS air ride system. Its been 3 days and I currently have a bit of reverse rake. I want a setup to have slight rake to the front. Current measurements measured at the running boards have the front 1.25" higher than the rear (this is with rear air ride set to neutral position). Ideally I wound't mind from 1"-1.25" rake to the front. Which springs should I get? Prefer not to use spacers if possible. I'm not sure how much the front will settle over time. Springs were new but shocks I got used with 8k miles on them. I'm having a hard time deciding because I've read the Moog rear FJ coils will only lift about 0.5" in the rear. Also I am not sure if converting to coils from the RAS will result in any lift by itself. I had planned originally to do 5100's and Moog FJ coils all around with front set to 0.85" as I've read many others do this with success, but I'm finding it hard to believe this setup will raise the rear to my desired height. Any advice is appreciated.

Question: I already replaced my front struts with (kyb plus) and 3" leveling blocks. For the rear I want to install new rancho shocks which will raise the rear 1-1/2 ". My question is will I need to replace the springs in the rear for this to be possible?? Or just the shocks will be sufficient? The truck is sagging at the moment because of the new strut n spacer blocks.

That was my thinking on this matter as well, so long as I dont have to cut or take a blow torch to the coils :wtf:
I just purchased a set of 5100 series Billies and have decided to go with the FJ moog springs all round.
I may get a 1" cornfed rear spacer so I can set the fronts to 1.75 and that "should" get me leveled or with a slight rake. Crossing fingers it works out lol

The Rancho shock will not raise the rear end any.
It needs a 1.5" spacer on top of the coil spring...or a longer coil.

Haven't seen anyone post anything about putting Tundra suspension on a 4th Gen.
Why don't you look at the Taco TRD Yellows that are on CL for $100 in Waconia?
Will that work? Does it give me a lift at all?

any tundra parts will not fit our 4th gens. we are on the J120/150 chassis and the first gen are on the J90 platform and the newest gen is on the j200 series. look at the FJ or Tacoma suspension swaps, literally pages of the info youre looking for.
