Lift heights from OME/Bilstein options?

I've been talking to Wheeler's, getting some info on a potential OME/Bilstein setup for my '06 V6 (planning on replacing my XREAS and current spacer lift). With the Bilstein 5100 shocks set on the lowest perch, they gave me the following front lift heights per OME spring used:

OME 2884: 1.5-1.75"
OME 2885: 2.0-2.25"
OME 2887: 2.5-2.75"

Reading through most of the info available, these values seem a little low. Any thoughts? I'm looking for around 2.5-3.0" in the front for my new lift.

Well I got 2.25" with 883 on the lowest perch. That's with a v8 too.

those lift estimates are based on the trucks show room ride height so they are not representation of a truck with mileage.

To change Blistein 5100 level settings, do you have to remove them (don't have them yet)?

I'm looking at getting the toytec/bilstein 3" lift and wanted to see what people think of it for those that have the same setup. In the main post by OP its mentioned that adjusting the ride height is a little less doable with the toytec lift, does that apply to this one specifically?

Since I'm going to already be spending money on the project I'd also like to go ahead and do a slight lift, but I really don't want a harsh ride. I had a 2007 XTerra OR that I put Bilstein 5100s + OME springs on and it was extremely harsh, so I'm gunshy with my 4Runner.

I'd be happy with a 1.5 - 2.5" lift, nothing where I'm having to extend the brake line or change out the control arms. This is mostly a daily driver today, but in the next year or so I plan on getting a newer vehicle and using this for my place out in west Texas and my summer Colorado trips.

I read through some of the thread, but it looked like some of the retailers went out of business years ago and wasn't sure what the latest options are and who is a reputable source nowadays. Thanks in advance!

How much are you wanting to spend? If you wanna stay low budget I hear good things about the Eibach pro kits. If your not worried about the money I suggest an icon kit I really like my icons

I definitely recommend the Eibach Kit. I had XREAS as well and swapped it out for the pro kit. For a daily and some weekend trips, I'd go Eibach and use some of the remaining funds for other upgrades.

OME/Dobinson complete kits are pretty durable for varied weather and climates. Both offer 2" options. Then maybe some 255/75-80s and youd have a nice set up.

Another kit to look at would be Radflo. I'm very happy with ours that we put on about 4 years ago. Funny that the price hasn't changed a penny since I bought from MetalTech. If you can wait a bit, they usually have a sale in early July.
I went with the 2.5" kit because I did not want remote reservoirs and these have been great for everything from daily driving to loaded up camping trips on rough roads. The 2.0" kit might work well for you too. The folks at MetalTech are very knowledgeable.

Just ordered OME 885/895 with OME 90021 and 60004 struts. Also got new UCAs. Now just trying to figure out the tires -- thinking 255/75/17 KO2s or 275/70/17 Falken AT3Ws. I want the tire to fit in the stock spare location on my v6, so I may have to go take some careful measurements.

For reference -- I was thinking about going with Bilstein 5100s, but after the folks at the shop showed me the difference between the OME struts and Bilsteins, I went with OME. They are MUCH beefier.

technically yes, but it will overextend them, prematurely ruining your shocks and reducing the ride quality.

ironman setup because its the cheepest i can find here in costa rica
arround 1000$ when dovinsons 1500$ and oldman ume 1800
ironman nitrogas stage 1 or 2

I havent tried Ironman, but I have heard its hit and miss. I had experience with both OME and Dobinsons and its always have been great. If you are looking for a more budget friendly option, why dont you take a look at bilstein 5100? Every second 4runner is running them and they are proven to be well balanced among the budget options.

I didnt think of the geography based availability issue.

Bilstein is from Germany I believe. The part #s are 33-187174 (rear) and 24-239370 (front). 4th gen was produced from 2003 up to 2009;

Haha no, I meant to have a diesel as an engine option is what makes me jealous.

As far as choosing brands -- I think warranty is a very important matter as well so I would recommend you to research the warranty reputation / policy of the mentioned above brands in Costa Rica. May be that would help you decide.

bilstein are very difficult to find here
i will keep research buy i might go with dobinsons.

Have you felt different between the ome that make it worth 300$ more?
Because here the price difference is 300$ between those two

and yea diesel is more cheap with gas
but i think the engine is less string than yours
