I have read through many of the threads asking about tint but can't seem to find anyone who has exactly what I am looking for. I plan on tinting my 07 4runner. I want 15% up front, but I can't seem to find what percentage would be good to go over the factory tint on the rear that would match up well with it. I also have a tan interior which is why I am looking to go pretty dark and I may consider going darker if need-be. If anyone has any advice or something close to this combo on theirs id love to see it. Thanks guys!

Isn't the factory rear about 25-30% ? I could be wrong though.. Have you checked with some of the tinting places to see if they can match the 15% front with the new shade over the Factory one?
I went with 20% on the front and 35% on the back and the match is pretty much perfect, maybe a little bit darker in the rear. I'd say if you are going 15% you'd want them to go with 20-25% in the back. If it's a good tint shop they should know what is needed to get ther results you are looking for.

That combination looks really good. What color is your interior? And is your windshield tinted too?
I talked to my buddy who ownes a tint/vynal wrapping shop yesterday about my 4runner. He said to go 35% in the front (that's legal limit in Oregon for the fronts) and 35% in the rear. That will net me the equivalent of 20% rear taking into count the factory privacy glass shade.

I did 20% over the all the back windows factory tint and 20% on the front rollups. I also have a ceramic 70% on the windshield. My back windows are darker than my front rollups. If I did 15% on my front rollups it would be close.

Yeah from the looks of it I'm probably going with what you have, except doing 15 on the fronts. Does the windshield ever bother you at night? I have a buddy that said his windshield tint was a pain in the ass, but then again I'm pretty sure his was excessively dark.

In terms of the windshield, I may do a strip of tint at the top, so that when driving against the sun, it doesn't blind me, granted I wear shades too, but sometimes the sun is way strong.
