I've spent a lot of time searching for a specific lift setup and haven't found what I'm looking for. If anyone has a V6 rig with the Bills set at 2.5 on 265s id love to see a pic. If its easier to email or txt me a picture PM me and I'll shoot you my contact info. Also if anyone who is going with the full 2.5 were you able to get it back to factory spec alignment with out new UCAs?

EDIT: I'm just referring to the just front Bilsteins with stock rear susp. Althought I understand the rear 5100s provide a near negligible amount of lift, possible a half inch. Correct me if I am wrong.

Ya I've spent a few hours searching that thread. I might seem like a noob. But I'm actually a master ASE mech. And very familiar with the forums and how to use them. I guess no body is running just the bills up front at 2.5. Seems from my measurements and my opinion of level, ( wheels having equal space to fender) that 2.5" is what it needs to make that happen.
 
most will think/say at 2.5 lift up front only, it will look nose high especially when looking at the running boards, without them, its not as noticable. why not jack the front up & see if you like it.

Yup already ditched the boards. They are heavy ugly and I'm 6'4" so i don't need em anyways. I have already done a "mock lift" and I definitely like the way 2.5 looks. I guess I'm just being a Sally about it but if I could see a pic with 2.5 up front and it look too nose high under the load of a V6 I guess I can throw a quarter inch trim spacer in the rear or maybe a half inch coil spacer giving me between a half inch to an inch lift in the rear.

Maybe u can tell me so I don't have to read thru 20 pages of your build thread. How did you achieve 3 inches. 1/4" Top plate spacer? Also what's your rear setup. It's hard to see from your various photobucket stuff but it seems your maybe a half inch higher in the rear than I would want to be. Are you running new UCA'S? If not how is your alignment?

edit: maybe you just have the perfect setup I'm looking for. Upon further inspection of your pics the wheel space between fenders look nice and even.

I have this lift kit 3" Lift W/ Bilstein 5100 Height Adj Coilovers FJ/4Runner - Toytec Lifts: Toyota Lift Kits: FJ Cruiser Lift Kits, Tacoma Lift Kits, Tundra Lift Kits, 4 Runner Lift Kits, Sequoia Lift Kits, Toyota Truck Lift Kits
Came to me set at 3" and I left it there. You can lower it if you want. I have no spacers.
My front sat at 38", back at 39". I haven't measured in a few months so I'm not sure where it ended up settling.
My alignment was put back into spec except for caster. I need to UCA's.

Right I've looked at that kit. Just a little out of my budget right now. Maybe with only 2.5 they can get that caster dialed a little closer to factory spec. Thanks for your help!
 
2.5 will definitely be nose high. It will exaggerate if you have anything in the back seat or the cargo area.

I'd say the same is true with 1.75" and factory springs.

I'd say 0.85" is about right if you're not at least swapping rear springs out to compensate. You'll still have a little front rake, but it's either that or be just about nose-high at 1.75".

So if I wanted the full 2.5 in front. Which spacer would you recommend in the rear to make it tits level( wheel space to fenders even)?
 
I have a V8 with the shocks set at 1.75 and it is just about right, a little tiny bit higher in the front without being too much. I am also running 265/65/18s on stock wheels, no rubbing.

The toytec ultimate goes on in two weeks. I don't have a picture of the current setup unfortunately.
