Hey guys, I had an unfortunate event yesterday. I was heading back to university from Atlanta and the entire trip the truck drove fine. About 10 minutes away from my university, I was at the bottom of a mountain at a light and applied 40-50% throttle to make it up the hill. Once the RPMs hit about 3400 the engine lost power and wobbled/shook. I backed off and the CEL came on along with VSC ABS and all the traction control lights. I nursed the truck back to school but applying anything more than 10% throttle and the same symptoms.. After getting to school i tried restarting the car and it idles fine with no leaks. Its a 2005 with 134,xxx miles. Just had toyota do a major tune last month where they replaced almost all fluids, spark plugs, wipers etc. They said everything looked in great shape. Do you guys think this sounds like a spark plug issue? I dont think its a gasket because there was no overheating.. Kinda stuck at school with a limping runner now. Any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Hopefully its nothing expensive or serious as I love my runner and live on a tight college kid budget. Thanks again guys!
