4WD & Center Diff Lock Flash Flicker HELP

2002 4R AUTO V6

Well it never fails you let someone borrow your truck and bam theres an issue. MY brother called about an hour ago and asked if it was normal for the 4WD, center diff lock lights to flash and flicker while driving. I said no unless yolu tried to engage the system and it didn't....Not the case, the system DOES GO INTO 4WD no problems and comes out only to be plagued by the lights after the fact.


I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN SO IM NOT SURE WHAT TO THINK.

My 2000 did this last winter and this past fall I unplugged all of the electrical connectors to the transfer case and sprayed them with wire cleaner. I haven't had a problem this winter. May be worth a try.
